Disrupter seeds in the soil

117

Competitiveness in Scottish football has been so lacking for so long, some have come to expect it is here for good.  Former Newco director Dave King said as much this week, suggesting new owners of the new club would be guaranteed to finish in the top two of the Premiership and have a crack at Champions League football.  Perhaps.

Hibernian took time to get going this season, but when they did, they outperformed Newco.  David Gray will improve performance again next term.  If Hearts take Tony Bloom’s money you can expect him to aim no lower than second in the table.

I doubt we will have a four way fight for the title anytime soon, but there are disrupter seeds in the soil, only a fool would fail to see them.

Hope it is Cardinal Maeda and he chooses to call himself Pope Daizen the first.

One of hearts, hibs and aberdeen should be putting up a scrap every season for a tilt at the title with the other two scraping it out for european football. The big city clubs have under preformed for many a year domestically and in suropean football.

Supporters tend to engage better when clubs are showing ambitions to become bigger and better and to put up a challenge etc… how those clubs achieve that? I dont known but if they don’t achieve that the decline will continue.

I’ve lost out on the Pope job again. Probably because I live in Govanhill. I demand a recount!

    Paul 67 et al,

I think the Scottish product has diminished in regards competition.

However we can only play who is in front of us.

To a certain externt Celtic are a victim of our own success. We have blown the opposition out of the water, both on and off the park.

Put bluntly, we are such a well run outfit that any potential domestic opposition has been swatted aside.

The yoyo huns take over may change this dynamic, who knows but I doubt it in the short to medium term..

The much valued deal with Adidas reinforces this..

We just continue to enjoy our success playing fast, forward, entertaining football. We welcome our opponents support to enjoy the Parkhead spectacle, but we should not welcome known obnoxious bigots.

    HH.

PS : Trumps influence is indeed world wide. God bless the Pope.

the romans did at some point use IIII as well as IV to represent the number 4, so in a way both XIV and XIIII would be valid to represent 14.

but since it is a title that the pope has then it is probably only accurate to quote it as given, so XIV would be correct.

a bit like if your parents named you Jon on your birth certificate then it wouldnt be right for someone to say your name is John.

Yes, the Office told me you had collected it. I really do hope it will be a useful present. You have been far too generous to me, and I have enough reading material to last for a good few years to come. I do though still want to have that tour of the Clonard, and we must get it arranged. My wife also wants to come along.

I hope you and your family are well, and I will catch up with you soon.

BTW I am very pleased with the choice of our new Pope.
