CELTIC will take on Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Wednesday March 4 after last night’s game was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
The rearranged Premiership game will kick off at 8pm and will be covered live by Sky Sports.
The champions have taken maximum points from the Dons this season following a 2-0 victory in the north east in August and a 3-1 win in the east end of Glasgow in December, one of only two successes in eight outings during Wilfried Nancy’s disastrous 33-day stay.
Martin O’Neill will become the third Celtic gaffer in the third league game against the north east outfit after Brendan Rodgers had taken charge of the first.
Meanwhile, the Hoops hierarchy were most unhappy at the timing of the game off announcement and said in a statement: “It is extremely regrettable that last night’s match against Aberdeen was postponed, particularly at such a late stage.

MARTIN THE THIRD…the experienced Irishman will be Celtic manager No.3 in their league games against Aberdeen this season.
“While we understand the decision, clearly, we sympathise with our supporters, many of whom had begun making their journeys or had arrived in Aberdeen already.
“We have raised the matter with the SPFL, to understand whether the SPFL Pitch Inspection Protocol was followed correctly.
“In our view, there must be the ability to make earlier decisions on matches.
“We are very sorry that our fans have been inconvenienced in this way and thank you sincerely for your support.”
The new date comes just three days after the third derby league encounter of the season at Ibrox which has a midday start.
Celtic will be hoping to be involved in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals on the weekend of March 7/8 before they go back into Premiership action on March 14 when Motherwell provide the opposition at Parkhead for the 3pm kick-off.
