With financial projections which provide entertaining reading, Rangers International promoted director, Walter Smith, to the position of chairman. Smith immediately proclaimed, “Unity among the directors is vital”, although he was not asked about the forthcoming EGM where fellow directors Malcolm Murray and Chris Morgan face dismissal, while a third director, Charles Green, suggested he was going to resign by today, but has not got around to filling out the form yet (does this guy have ‘form’ when it comes to filling Companies House forms?)…..
They don’t do unity very well.
The only show in town is season ticket sales; for all clubs. Maybe Celtic should appoint Martin O’Neill to the board for a few weeks to allow the newspapers to provide some bluster for those who more convinced by headlines and sound-bites than strategy? Perhaps not. Let’s stick to plan.
Lisbon Lion in Ayrshire, send reinforcements!
Willie Wallace will be at Waterstons in Ayr from 1-3pm this afternoon, get along (with camera) if you can.
Tomorrow Willie will be at the Celtic Superstore from 12-2pm before going to the Celtic Shop, Clydebank, from 3.30-5.30pm. Get out and meet the man.
Great to meet so many people at Waterstons, Stirling, last night. The store sold out of Willie’s autobiography. There was actually a queue of people waiting to enter the store at one point.
Just a few days left on the auction for the signed Messi strip, a magnificent piece of football memorabilia. Keep an eye on it here.
Order your copy of Heart of a Lion, delivered before Father’s Day, below…..

Sorry for the late response but IMO Arsenal are the best run club in the EPL they have cut their cloth wisely and have been paying off a brand new stadium whilst others around them have been pashing the bounty against the wall or draining it out of the clubs in debts or tax incentives .
When the EPL bubble bursts the gunners will probably be front runners there after .

The Express decorated our car in fabulous posters of Celtic and it’s stars, then took lots of pictures.
When we got home it appeared that the paper had published an article, showing me and my mates posing round the car, saying more or less that we were the Celtic motorcade and that noone else had turned up at CP for the trip to Milan.
Which was not true.
Spin, I suppose, or downright lies.
Yep it was lies!
The posters stayed attached to the car for the journey to Milan.
However, when we got back to the car after the game, they had been nicked!
The return trip took 8 days and in spite of the result was memorable.

Do you buy a newspaper today, or does a newspaper pay you a decent salary to maintain your lifestyle?
Or are you just a wealthy Celtic fan?

Nairobi,Kenya: Harambee Stars coach, Adel
Amrouche, has paid tribute to his players
for showing patriotism ahead of the Kenya
versus Nigeria World Cup qualifer to be
played on Wednesday.
Amrouche said he was inspired by the
focus and determination the players have
shown in getting a positive result on
Wednesday.
“The players are very proud to be wearing
the national colours. For them, it is not
about the money they expect, but the pride
of representing their country.
“It is an impressive attitude that we hope
will pull us through against Nigeria,” he
said on the second day of the team’s
training in Naivasha on Thursday.
Amrouche singled out Celtic midfielder
Victor Wanyama as a true professional and
a good example to the rest of the players.
“We have been in touch since he returned
home last weekend. I have given him
permission to be with his family for a few
days and expect him in camp on Friday.
“So far, he has shown a lot of
professionalism by talking to the technical
bench about his whereabouts. This is the
kind of attitude that fosters unity and
raises motivation in the squad,” he said.
Wanyama was expected in camp yesterday
after his rest after a successful season with
Celtic where the club lifted the league and
Cup titles.
In the absence of team captain Dennis
Oliech, the Celtic midfielder is likely to play
a pivotal role in lifting the team against
Nigeria.
The Kenyan coach also promised Kenyans
a positive result against Nigeria on
Wednesday, insisting they are all
determined to lift the spirits of local fans.
