With financial projections which provide entertaining reading, Rangers International promoted director, Walter Smith, to the position of chairman.  Smith immediately proclaimed, “Unity among the directors is vital”, although he was not asked about the forthcoming EGM where fellow directors Malcolm Murray and Chris Morgan face dismissal, while a third director, Charles Green, suggested he was going to resign by today, but has not got around to filling out the form yet (does this guy have ‘form’ when it comes to filling Companies House forms?)…..

They don’t do unity very well.

The only show in town is season ticket sales; for all clubs.  Maybe Celtic should appoint Martin O’Neill to the board for a few weeks to allow the newspapers to provide some bluster for those who more convinced by headlines and sound-bites than strategy?  Perhaps not.  Let’s stick to plan.

Lisbon Lion in Ayrshire, send reinforcements!

Willie Wallace will be at Waterstons in Ayr from 1-3pm this afternoon, get along (with camera) if you can.

Tomorrow Willie will be at the Celtic Superstore from 12-2pm before going to the Celtic Shop, Clydebank, from 3.30-5.30pm.  Get out and meet the man.

Great to meet so many people at Waterstons, Stirling, last night. The store sold out of Willie’s autobiography. There was actually a queue of people waiting to enter the store at one point.

Just a few days left on the auction for the signed Messi strip, a magnificent piece of football memorabilia. Keep an eye on it here.

    A wee well versed Bigot in my work tried to say that David Murray would have bought Celtic rather than Celtic going out of business.

    I bought a Rega Planar 2 in 1983. Instill have the same turntable which is functioning perfectly after all this time and numerous house moves. I bought it with all the proceeds from a summer job as an auxiliary in Coathill Hospital. Sure it was about £300. That’s a lot of old bums to wipe.

     

     

    Having typed that I’ve just realized I’ve had it 30 years. Wow.

    What entertaining accounts is that Paul?

     

     

    The ones Charlotte uploaded or the more sobering projections that I uploaded that even Rangers supporters think are pretty realistic. The ones that dip their toes in the red by end of next season and take a full plunge into the red pool the season after.

    No, Kosecki will stay with us, unless the club gets very good offer. He got two offers from Spanish clubs again but I expect the offers to be rejected. We sell one player each transfer window. We already sold Central Back for 2 200 000 euros.

    I heard David Ginola on talksport this morning say that the other french clubs (led by Lyon’s chairman) have either asked, or it has been agreed, that Monaco will pay a levy of some €200million to the French league as a sort of tax, so they dont have an “unfair advantage” (hmmm now where have i heard that phrase before esp with regards to payments to footballers???).

     

     

    Additionally he, Ginola, said that there is almost an unwritten rule that prevents players from Atletico signing for Real and vice versa and do not be surprised to see a certain ex-Atletico player now about to be at Monaco, sign for Real either during January window or next summer latest!

    I was about to recommend a good place to go. They tend to suggest equipment that matches what you already have.

    In the game that Legia played against Lech two weeks back, Kosecki made three yellow and one red card for Lech players. He also made penalty that was changed for 1:0 for Legia.

     

    The game was worth earlier Champions title for Legia.

    Is “Walter Smith” a pseudonym for “Rangers Legned Walter Smith”, who is mentioned on every news report I’ve heard today.

     

     

    We should be clear, after all we wouldn’t want the rangers fans to be duped by the old switcheroo, and get Rangers Legned Scotland, when they actually want Rangers Legned 5088.

     

     

    I’m wonderring if Walter Smith International is really pulling the strings though.

     

     

    Good to hear though that the old MSM are folling into line and peddling the Legned news to sell the tickets.

    Apart from it being a very poor article oul Leggo seems to have his analogies a wee bit mixed up.     The Cadete transfer was a great bit of business by the club-credit to Davie Hay,I believe-and brought us a fantastic striker though maybe a troubled man.

    So what you’re saying is that Kosecki is good enough….but being a Legia fan you don’t want to lose him. That’s perfectly understandable!!

     

     

    I find it strange that Celtic are linked with Tonev though and not Kosecki when Kosecki is the better player. Maybe it’s because he would cost more or maybe because he plays on the right (in James Forrests position) while Tonev plays mainly on the left.
