‘DON’T RULE OUT DUNDALK,’ KENNY

STEPHEN KENNY is confident his Dundalk side can score in Rosenborg to set up a potential dream tie against Celtic.

The former Dunfermline boss saw his side draw 1-1 against the Norwegians in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier at Oriel Park.

But he insisted the Irish outfit have scored goals on their travels against BETTER opponents than next week’s rivals.

Kenny said: “We’re very much still in it.

“It’s 1-1 and we’re in the same situation as we were last year against Hafnarfjordur, it was 1-1 in the home tie.

“We seem to be able to score away from home and we got a 2-2 draw in Iceland.

“It will be different out there, there will be a full crowd and the home form is good, but we have the capacity to score away goals.

“We’ve gone and scored away against better teams than Rosenborg.

“They’re a formidable team, but we must believe we can do that again.”

Celtic, of course, are all but in the next round after last night’s 2-0 17th century win over Linfield in Belfast.
