Duff and Phelps in the dock with Rangers as SPL hit back

247

The SPL today released a short statement indicating that despite asking for information regarding the improper registrations of football players to be submitted by 6 April, the league have yet to receive “full cooperation from the club and its administrators in providing everything that it and they have access to and which is required for the investigation to be completed”.

This being the case you may wonder why the league have been so keen to accommodate Duff and Phelps on the matter of allowing a Newco-Rangers access to the league.

Tonight the SPL will receive all the information they require to confirm Rangers have a case to answer.  They must act with the gravity the situation deserves.

Duff and Phelps failure to comply with the Harper MacLeod inquiry might superficially allow their job to progress as though there was nothing wrong, but it leaves an enormous and insurmountable issue for potential buyer to find when they conduct due diligence.

If Duff and Phelps had provided information on time, there was at least a chance they could have removed this iceberg that will surely scupper their chances of selling the club.

I am pleased Mr Doncaster has stepped forward this evening.  Now the truth is out he must deal with the matter expediently.

  8. Tonight will probably reveal little for us “inter-net bampots” that have been reading RTC,PhilMcG, AT and P67

However tonight it will be that bastion of the establishment the BBC which will be saying the things that we have been saying for a year

To many on here it will not be new but to many others it will be

As Paul has said it will force the likes of Donkey to choose a side – his idea of playing both ends against the middle will have to end tomorrow

He will either choose to be part of the solution or part of the problem

My dear old dad passed away on the 1st of June 1994

He served his time in H&W and later worked in RR at Hillington

Like many of his generation he suffered the bigotry and discrimination that RFC represents to many – when they finally die off in liquidation I will be thinking of him and thousands perhaps millions like him who despite all their hatred never succumbed and kept the faith

  11. Evening all,

I know some of you have been following Kibera Celtic, who have adopted the Glasgow Celtic ethos and are helping the slum dwellers of Kibera in Nairobi. The mens team has had several promotions in a row and are now in Division 1, Zone A. You can follow the weekly results here http://www.futaa.com/football/kenya/division-one-zone-a/2012

KC is backed by the Club who have been excellent to deal with

    http://www.celticfc.net/newsstory?item=1985

You can now donate here http://www.everyclick.com/kiberaceltic in conjunction with the Celtic Charity Fund, who are helping us get set up to receive funds.

There is a high demand for our charitable donations in the world right now, but the odd tenner will go an incredibly long way to help these guys.

Cheers and have a great close season. Follow KC too!

Will we have blanket coverage of the verdict?

Too warm for a jacket today.

  13. I read somewhere that Paul Clark, of Duff and Phelps, is a very wealthy man having recently sold his own business to D&P.

Why then would a man like that take on this stressful job at Rangers and why was CW so keen to get him in there? Hmmm

  14. the long wait is over on

Good grief Paul, yir postin articles faster than ah kin read them…

Decaff for you for the rest of the night.

    Brilliant work though.

I’m sure this has been posted already but the SPL get their excuses in right at the wire? Hmmm…

I suspect thats also to try and ensure that they’re not seen as the source for whatever ammunition the BBC are going to cannon right between SDM’s eyes tonight.

I have said from the start Minty hand picked the MBB and his cohorts( to do the job of liquidating them & destroying the crime seen,

Fortunately for us there was far to much information out there …..well enough to prove exactly what minty and his gang were up to for years for me that is enough

YAAAAAAAAAAAAA dancer .Ps 15 or 20 years ago(if it was only a paper trail)

they would have got away with it but the NEW MEDIA & our day has come.

  16. what has eric reilly been doing regards this spl investigation [or lack off]

eric reilly is part of the spl board so he is complicit in this farce that is supposed

to govern, folks we really have to look within for some serious answers, we have

had plenty to say about others for not speaking up, eric reilly what have you and your and your fellow board members been doing the last few months?

  17. Awe_Naw_No_Annoni_Oan_Anaw_Noo on

Count me in for any contributions as a wee thank you to Paul67 who I must have scunnered the most, RTC guy for not quite appreciating my over developed sense of humour as much as Paul67, Phil even though he is yet to do the hatchet job on Fleming and Alex Thompson for making it national.

I suggest a seperate family holiday for each of them. For all their good work and sacrifices.

    Hail Hail

  18. Awe_Naw_No_Annoni_Oan_Anaw_Noo on

So now it is clear why the SFA lobbed the SPL the dual contract issue.

Nae worries! It helps to develop a thick skin on the internet. People can be VERY outraged with the benefit of anonymity.

I just try not to offend (too much) or frighten the horses.

Basically,I love Celtic, and loathe hunnery & Bigot F.C. All else is jam.

And I do think Paul67,RTC,PhilMac,and a helluva lot of others deserve big kudos for their efforts.

A big beanfeast is their reward, coz the msm will never acknowledge that their time has gone the way of the dinosaur.

Investigative/honest trad. journalism is as dead as Dodo F.C.

    This fiasco has proved THAT.
