Radio 4 on BBC Sounds App at 11.45am today. 15 minute listen.
The Battles that Won Our Freedoms. Episode 7, Catholic Emancipation.
In this episode, Phil Tinline asks Professor Marianne Elliott to tell the story of Daniel O’Connell’s long struggle in the early 19th century to free Catholics from old laws which stopped them becoming going to university or participating fully in British public life, culminating in the Roman Catholic Relief Act 1829. Siobhain McDonagh MP reflects on what O’Connell’s battle means to her, and explains why she campaigned to lift a restriction left over from the 1820s that remained in law throughout the 19th and 20th centuries

Well who’s fucking fault is that ? And why would anyone approach a game against a much weaker opponent with only one striker and then compound it with ludicrous substitutions, taking off the best player on the park, never mind continuing with a rapidly aging and failing midfielder, whilst a much sharper and on form player warms the bench?
I begin to wonder whether it has been Kennedy who’s been picking the team and dictating the “tactics” all along.
Not a fucking clue.
And BTW don’t worry about red carding me for bad language, I’ve barred myself.

The Bigot/Blue Pound is the two in the bush which our custodians have gambled our core support-income on.
They have gambled that we will put up with their antics of keeping that mob alive as a means of ensuring the maintenance of the business model.
Of course when the top tier gets closed behind both goals after we lose 20k STs this summer then they’ve backed a loser.
