  1. 20% of the population of england are entitled to an irish passport. in other words, 1 in 5 people in england have an irish parent or grandparent.

once we are independent we lose the protection we currenlty receive from london. we will be living in the most bigoted anti-catholic country in the world. we will be living in a bigger version of the 6 counties.

  2. My boys

Yep seen pics of officers bouncing along with the cave dwellers outside ibrox . Nauseating viewing

  3. Philbhoy – The orcs are intending to meet up at the Celtic way before our game against them on 21st.

    D :)

  4. Just been sent the pictures of George square.

Broken benches everywhere. Then of course the Celtic shop smashed up on Argyle street.

I bet there are other shops smashed as well.

Of course a wee bit of enjoyment was watching 4 orcs knocking lumps out of each other.

    Scotlands shame right enough.

Citys of Europe batten down the hatches the Orcs are coming.

Seriously? Needs exposure because the Police & the authorities have just dug one massive hole for themselves.

Seeing an organized Police escort was bad enough but that is simply, well unsurprising really.

2012 – the SFA & Scottish Government were only concerned about one thing when the “EBT” judgement was passed on the cheating years and their titles – Civil Unrest.

These jokers will rest, uncivilly, whether its celebration or otherwise. The Government are cowards. Lump the SFA and all the other clubs in Scottish football with them.

And don’t give me it wasn’t the clubs fault about the scenes this weekend. There’s pictures of CLUB breaches after their game on Saturday. Open gates & players celebrating with their fans is complicit in the two fingers up to the law.

  6. garygillespieshamstring on

There is a video clip circulating of Ford Kidman “celebrating”.. He sings banananana to the sash tune and ends by shouting “f@@@ the pope”..

Was digging back through press articles. The continuity myth seemed to gather pace around 2015. That’s a few years living in reality before fantasy set in.

Would love to know who started it. Gonna message ACSOM when Anthony Haggerty is contributing. Wonder if he has an idea of when the fantasy started & by whom.

Our club was pilloried for the Jolly to Dubai, quite rightly mostly by us – the Celtic fans. Didn’t that jaunt turn out well?

But this weekends indiscretions, make that look like what it was – an approved trip. Pales into insignificance compared to what’s just gone down. (Still shouldn’t have gone ahead though).

    Nicolas’s presser should be interesting.

    So the inevitable finally hits

The post mortem will discover numerous ailments – but it all leads to Peter Lawwell

A classic case of financial brilliance and people ignorance

There is a part of me that has some sympathy for PL

17 years at Celtic, and over that time he has presided over a successful club

Yet his final year will will be his legacy

I have been writing on here for over a year about our arrogance, likening us to other dynasties that have collapsed – notably Nokia

Financial people (I am generalising) are right to think a healthy balance sheet with cash in the bank will maintain dominance

But in PLs case they sometimes underestimate the necessity for good people doing a good job regardless of the task

PL felt as long as we were richer we did not need Brendan Roger and Neil Lennon would be OK

The lesson I hope Mr McKay understands, it’s all about the Manager

    Everything starts from there

The players play for the Manager

If you have read any of my posts before you will have seen my various references to what happened at Nokia and the parallel behaviour at Celtic

Nokia dismissed Apple and Samsung because Nokia were richer

We have ignored our enemy and allowed them to prosper

Our task now is much greater than its ever been

They are good driven by their manager a winner in his professional life

We have a fight on our hands our advantage has gone

It would be foolish to think that next week our team will perform above our enemy

We haven’t all year so it’s not likely to happen next week end

    More pain

We have kept our Nokia’s when the world has been buying Apple and Sumsung

Time we got a new phone

Mr McKay never has so much been requested from one man on his first day at work

    Good luck

  14. PeterLatchfordsBelly on

It’s just a blip says show pony, where’s my coat Christie! Byeee Ryan.

The club has two options for the new coach/ manager:

    1. Someone established with cast iron self-belief, because they’re going to need it. The white noise falling behind early next season would test anyone’s resolve.

    2. Promote in-house (Kennedy) option. This has the attraction of reducing expectations. Others have dismissed this, but I’m not so sure. I’m not sure there’s an option 1 guy out there willing to take it, so club may be forced to fall back on this one.

Kennedy is calm, thoughtful etc. Quite impressive. He won’t win us the league though.

  15. Surely it’s no coincidence now that both Lennon and Kennedy have little faith in Ajeti, Klimala or Griff.

Klimala looks like he has bags of enthusiasm but lacks a bit of quality while the other two have the opposite problem.

Eddie will almost certainly go in the summer meaning we need a whole new strikeforce. As we know, strikers are the most expensive players in the game – this worries me.

  16. Nat love in the support — strange post 2010 phenomena.

We are fully conversant with the failure of the SPL / SFA / SPFL — local control that suits one team and tries to hobble us at every opportunity. So we know what is coming if we ever get “Independence” but still the love is strong in quite a few.

Beyond me that you can see Scotland’s future in plain sight / in microcosm but you still want to swim in that cess pool for ever more.

With the internet and on-line echo chambers — we as a society / species are in a worse place that we were 50 years ago never mind 10 years ago.

And yet many want to roll the dice in a loaded game where identity politics trumps all else.

This is the working definition of turkeys voting for Christmas.

We do live in interesting times and they are getting more interesting by the minute.

Compare and contrast 1975 with 1998 with 2021 — we are in a bad place and heading for worse.

Surely the Nat lovers on here can see where we are heading — Not-Jacinda will make an accommodation with the mentalist vanguard of the TFOD2 support to keep her show on the road.

This is not to get them to vote Nat but to sit in the house come May.

So they went mental over the weekend — Not-Jacinda just wants to keep the show on the road.

Never mind the ratchet effect — next time it will be worse with the second rank emboldened to join their mentalist cousins.

Not-Jacinda is playing with fire — unfortunately she has other things to worry about.

Your Nokia analogy is apt. However unlike you I have no sympathy for PL. He has proven himself a paper tiger. The huns are back because PL and DD wanted it thus. The blue pound is ‘good for business’. To us this is tribal and a battle between good and bad, to them it’s just business. Putting a duffer like Lennon in charge and keeping him there said it all. Even Lawwell shill Stephen McGowan says so this morning.

The only good thing coming out of this disgraceful capitulation is that it stains Lawwell’s legacy for all times. Well earned.

  21. Watch the headlines change to ‘Old Firm Fans’ before your very eyes.

Celtic at home in the penultimate derby game of the season with planned attendance by the Greeting Brigade, and Scotland’s Shame.

Carnage on the streets the height of madness in a pandemic, the Rainjurz must have tuped over the capability to turn victory into defeat.

How apt, only they could make a fist of winning their first league title, a new world record.

    Hail Hail

  22. Scoddland is happy enough to see Tims ridiculed, mistreated, herded like cattle, kettled and demonised…….

it is also happy enough to see the klan lead on a police escorted oranj walk up an’ dooon their Queen’s highway…………….

    Scotland The Brave?

    Aye richt!

    Shameful.

  23. If any of our fans are contemp0lating turning up to Celtic Park could we at least all agree that it’s a bad idea?

  24. was watching Stuart Armstrong at the weekend (and last few weeks) and on current form, he will be gutted if Christie or McGregor get a game ahead of him at the Euros

the big downsizers for me since 2018 (ignoring loans which we shouldn’t be doing. 2m in loan fees for a season vs 2m for decent player on 3 year contract)

    Gordon to Bain/Barkas

    Tierney to Taylor

    Lustig to Elhamed/Frimpong

    Dembele to Griffiths/Ajeti/Klimala

Armstrong to Christie (this includes McGregor out of position)

We haven’t had any ‘wow’ centre half since van Dijk so i can’t honestly saw who is better out of Boyata/Simunovic and Ajar/Julienne. Get the shape right and you can make a Goldson look great

That level of downsizing , whether unavoidable or not , is pretty dramatic. I was at the Shamrock Rovers friendly in Tallaght in 2018 and even though we were playing a youth team; having a 4-4-2 with Edouard and Dembele up front looked amazing.

Gordon, Lustig, Hendry, Ajer,, Tierney, Forrest, Brown, McGregor, Sinclair, Dembele, Edouard

Among the subs: Christie, Welsh, Hazard, Bain, Ralston, Johnston

You can see it all in the 3 year old team sheet. all that money spent and that bench has stepped up to the team

    Sinclair to Johnston

  25. One element that hopefully will get further comments and analysis.

TFOD2 Zoomer section in GS last night — doing what they do.

I hope that the YT of our support watch and learn.

To them if it had been our zoomer section out on manoeuvres …

Not as bad as the TFOD2 hordes — they are world class / we are hing’ons.

If anyone in the support had complained then it would have been CFC Da’s doing the moaning.

However now that it is the TFOD2 doing the damage everyone is piling in.

So to the coked up zoomers in our support — physician heal thyself.

  26. Stolen from A N Other….

Wonder what Tricky Nicky will say….

  27. The Class of 67 on

The huns should get absolutely hammered for not issuing statement asking for supporters to go home. Trashing the City Centre with taxpayers having to pay for the clean-up. Slippy on Saturday was basically saying it was understandable congregating at Ibrox – giving them carte blanche to spill their bile onto our streets on the Sunday. Be interesting to see how wee Nicola spins this for them, no doubt saying the police will hold an investigation which will sweep everything under the carpet. Disgusted.

The Bigot/Blue Pound is the two in the bush which our custodians have gambled our core support-income on.

They have gambled that we will put up with their antics of keeping that mob alive as a means of ensuring the maintenance of the business model.

Of course when the top tier gets closed behind both goals after we lose 20k STs this summer then they’ve backed a loser.

    =================================

    heh Squire :-)

    paraphrasing

so bigot£ =”gambled our core support income on …..gamble being keeoing that mob alive?

    is that correct?

So The Rangers existence is down to Celtic?

    (very old firm that)

    ie.we could have stopped it/them?

    how so?

The top tier may well shut if ST holders do not renew. The choice is always ours. and just as it was when BR came on board and the top tier filled again.

The choice is always the Celtic fans.we knew the cheating sevco were back and we bought in greater numbers(under br)

Squire i get the ethic behind what you say,we know we define them already.we are in their heads.the inculcated societal hate and sectarianism exhibited by them is owned by them.,,,,and if Celtic spoke out it would have stopped it?
