Just seen the Bale incident.
IMO He was bumped but he then did a Peter Pawlett.
He went down easy and took a dive to influence the ref.
Two clear stages to his fall.
No pen for me, and a justified yellow.
Ref clearly saw the whole thing as one incident but then he had to do in real time.
You were right though. His previous behavior has a big influence.
How many times have officials looked at recordings of games where they have given pens for one of his dives? Makes them all very cautious when he goes down.
Mind, if it was Hooper being denied…

Cast iron pen, even Nial Quinn admits it was and that Bale was hard done by. I agree.
Replays appear to make it very clear.He was wrestled down. I understand that Bale has previous but on this occasion that was not the case for me.

As one of the other CQNers said ‘ How big would the book be, you would need to serialize it’. Seriously though it would be big seller, I’m sure every CQNer would procure it, never mind fans oustide CQN.
We would need to collate all the stories and start off with allocating at the most one page to every tale, some obviously with be longer than others and the difficulty would be editing out the larger stories.
I dont mind putting myself forward to collect all the seville stories, but would need somone with experience to take it to the next step.

Got to also say was disgusted at the lack of media coverage on todays game, no radio, nothing. Celtic FC need to get a grip and seriously enhance our own media infrastructure, even if it is only commentary.

He may actually have been fouled right enough, but he then appeared to decide to go to ground, and made an erchie of himself by doing a Pawlett. Simulation is what the ref saw I guess. Just my take on it: as you say just opinions.

That recording sounded like Ahmed was changing his stance during the call. Very much like Charles was sitting beside him and scribbling notes to him.
Ahmed kept saying “We” then correcting himself, then he’d say that this is what Charles wants.
Claimed he was independent, then makes it clear that he holds a grudge for how he was treated by Chairman.
Loved it when he said “This makes us look like a circus, like back in the Craig Whyte days.”
There’s one thing he got right.
It’s a circus.
