  2. Good morning CQN from a delighted Garngad

10 points clear of the team in second.? the performance was not the best, but Dundee played everyone behind the ball and defended stoutly. It’s always very hard to break these banks of defenders down. Hence lobs and chips trying to get in behind, not ideal, but we got the 3 points.

Now for the Orcs in a fortnight.

    D. :)

  3. I also thought that Jonny Hayes brought a bit of enthusiasm and speeded up play, and hit the by line a good few times yesterday.

    Team to play Sevco:

    Bain

    Lustig, Boyatta , Benkovitch, KT

    Brown. Cal Mac

    Burke Rogic. Sinclair

    French Eddie

  4. Having to wait two weeks before having the chance to do anything about dropped points would have been an unpleasant experience.Thank you james and Eddy.

Sevco fans, like any football fans, really, would have been thinking , ` Beat Killie and Celtic drop points at Dundee; gap is six points. Beat them at Celtic Park, game on.` Now, ten points looks like tha major gap it is.

    Golf so…

    Cheerio for now.

    Tom English.

The relief after the ball hit the back of the net was enough reason for Celtic staff to indulge in wild celebration. The three points has given Celtic a ten point lead going in to the international break. However the wild and over excitement displayed by those who follow the second placed side, was an utter embarrassment after fans invaded the pitch following the scoring of a goal. The frenzy that followed was the reason why other fans poked fun,as the end result was meaningless and cringe worthy. Now Mr.English care to share when you found yourself in a similar position, punched the air and exclaimed’Well Done’ to ‘your’ team?

  10. Just back fae the school run, bumped into a fellow Tim who shouted over “how good was that yesterday Gerry, the Huns are pure raging about the 6mins injury time” was going to explain the Huns are always raging it’s in their DNA … cheating & raging :-)

    2019 feels like 1988 :-)

  11. GG – you’re in my prayers. So sorry for your loss.

HammyTim – I really appreciate your continuing posting of Bobby Sands diaries. For me it’s a real fixture in thd cqn calendar and this site is much enhanced by it.

Yesterday. We started quite well. But as the 2nd half wore on, we became increasingly poor. The move that brought the goal was the only way we were likely to score. Lobbing hopeful balls for big Centre halves to goggle up isn’t the kind of ‘moving it forward quuckly’ that my of us were hoping for!

It’s striking that we just about see opposition teams lining up in 1-10-0-0 formations against us as being normal. It is the norm, it is football, but only really in Scotland! Brutal to watch, hard you break down.

Don’t disagree but brutal can sometimes be exhilarating with an injury time winner :-)

  13. jeez_I_thought_blinker_was_pants on

Maybe if Jim McIntyre hadn’t put on a sub in the 94th minute, he wouldn’t have had the extra 6 minutes. Seems to have forgotten that.

Agree with Ernie for once, corners were ‘brutal’ and have been for the last 4 years.

  14. It’s odd to me how the reaction of some at full time yesterday was to be critical. Sure , as I watched the game it was very frustrating but as the goal went in I was dancing about the living and generally delighted to have extended the gap.

Fair enough later on or even today have a pop but as the whistle goes, that’s weird.

There’s a place for 95 mins of huffing and puffing followed by a moment of divine exhilaration. The bedroom my Bhoy!

I was amazed that 6 mins were shown. Not because they weren’t justified – they were – but because rangers stood to gain from our failure to score.

They’ve had half a team of first team players out injured and still took 31 points out of 33 since the split. We are a one man team and that one man is soon to sail off into the sunset.

Both us and them will have a rebuilding job in the summer but they have far more resources to throw at it. It’s pointless comparing us to them just now, never mind the delusional fantasies that they are only a wee bit ahead, couple.of signings, one more push lads, etc etc.

Fine Margins?.We will finish up 15/18 points behind them.We could even end up in third place .We gave them a bloody nose in Dec and they reacted like champions,We on the other hand shat the nest ,as losers do.All the straw searching in the world can’t hide the fact we are miles behind
