  1. Should have been way ahead in fist half given the chances made, trusty was very weak for 2 of their 3 goals and that ultimately cost us. Dundee pushed us hard and made it a challenging game. 3-3 was about right in the end. The end of the season will tell us if it was 1 point gained or 2 points dropped. It’s done now so focus turns to next game.

I do hope by end of january we have a leftback, winger/ striker and centreback in the door to give us a wee boost for rest of the season.

  2. Bernardo scores the missed sitter the game is over. So many poor performances. Trusty awful. Bernardo not much better. Idah chickens out of a fifty fifty in the first half as well to score a tap in. We were lucky to get the draw. That starting midfield not good enough.

  3. I’m not sure if it’s already been mentioned…

When Dundee’s Aaron Donnelly out jumped Trusty to score, the camera went to Brendan Rodgers.

You can clearly read his lips … (echoing what most of us now fear..)…

He says .. “£uckin waste of space”

If Trusty reports to the club physio with broken bones in his foot from being trod on… (or has some other reason for his wimping out all over the pitch) , I think that experiment is over in the manager’s eyes.

nothing about the huns home record or aberdeens current form points to the huns dropping points tomorrow…

  5. spikeysauldman on

corner by bernardo – about 15-16 secs later its a goal to dundee, shocking midfield defensive nous and shocking defending by AJ – albeit with an assist by calmac along the way…

THIS IS A SEASON THAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF

Plus as an added bonus, the huns are deteriorating before our very eyes – never to rise and stink out our house.

The games in December, Jan and Feb will long be forgotten when we win the league (which we will)

    Shush now!!!!

    Clunks

we will celebrate and look back fondly on the good games.

the management and players need to look back now and fix whats wrong in the bad moments of games

  8. At the end of May when we celebrate the seasons winnings

    And the league

    This game will be forgotten

Amongst seasons of games we have forgotten

  9. Good reality check Clunks. Didn’t watch the game. Glory hunters rip ma knitting. Players will always have poor patches and then come good. Not many playing teams thrive in the depths of winter. The only thing that matters is the trophy count in May. I get kicks out of watching the hun on hun action on their sites where they rip their players to shreds. Hard to believe we have as many in our sites happy to do the same. Your life must suck. Change it up. Enjoy the moment. Celtic are 16 points clear. Hail Hail.

  10. Sometimes the worst enemy you can meet will be yourself, but last night we dug in and didn’t lose.

The Ibrox team need to win tonight to get within thirteen points – I don’t think they will.

We now have three games at Celtic Park that should see us qualify for the last sixteen of the Scottish Cup and the last twenty-four play-offs in the CL….and by the end of January the gap in the league will be between thirteen and twenty-two points with just a third of the season remaining. Imagine that was foretold at the start of the season – how many would have believed it?

  11. Dundee v Celtic…

Maybe a game of ” Two Halves” ?

Despite the half time score line of 1 – 1, Celtic were the better team. I was reasonably confident of a Celtic Victory at half time……I was wrong.

The 2nd half belonged to Dundee for sure, and the 2nd half score line would be 2 – 2.

However, what happened to Celtic in the 2nd half as Dundee were most certainly the ” Hungrier” of the Two teams ?

I have no doubt that Brendan will be asking questions of certain Celtic players once the dust has settled…..IF he hasnt already ?

Well done to Dundee, who fought like Tigers especially in that 2nd half….they deserved the Point.

Good morning all from Govanhill. Yesterday’s gone, let’s look forward to thrashing Kilmarnock at Paradise. 👍

  14. If Celtic were lucky against Ross County and ‘squeezed out a win’ surely the so called experts of football punditry will be asking for the Dundee game to be replayed as Dundee thrashed Celtic and somehow only got a point?!

  15. bigrailroadblues on

Emailed the Celtic ticket office yesterday morning regarding a problem with my online account. Replied within 2 hours and problem sorted. Excellent service, well done Ryan of Celtic F.C.👏

Was looking for the quotes from players who recalled how Jock Stein told them to work on their weaknesses. Couldn’d find what I was looking for but found this…

    https://thesefootballtimes.co/2016/02/18/jock-stein-the-ordinary-man-who-was-anything-but/

“Celtic had embraced the ‘show up and play’ methodology that was clearly getting them nowhere, but Stein introduced detailed tactical analyses, which instilled in his players a greater understanding of how football works and of how it should be played. Stein broke games down, illustrated different formations, analysed the opponents and highlighted common mistakes running through the Celtic team. Stein hated repeating himself; his instructions and tutorials were intensely detailed and rapid.”

  17. Morning Bhoys from a strangely bright Dundee

I only managed to catch 80 minutes of the match on tele as I had to nip out to collect son and pal from Dens after the match but, whilst It might be different but for the benefit of our well earned lead, I really enjoyed the game. For me Saturday is our most important game this month and a wee reminder to players that hard work can beat talent if talent doesn’t work hard is perhaps well timed here, especially before the hatchet men of Killie toll into town.

A fair few of our fans leaving Dens were raging about our “inability to match their aggression”, being “weak as pish” or similar. Whilst I thought Trusty was poor I had excused Idah pulling out of his chance as with the Don in charge I thought he was probably more scared of a red card for trying to score than a hit from their keeper. Turning his back on a cross in our box though was the very definition of weak as piss however. This is where BR needs to earn his money and get Trusty and Idah back on it whether he builds them up or keeps chopping and changing after each poor performance I do not know. We as supporters need to help them too.

I missed the pen but assume it must have been an absolute stone-waller for Don to give it? Anyone got a link? I think the only decision we got all night was Reo not getting booked for a high boot challenge.

btw, I have enjoyed watching the games at CP – said before, some of the build up play/interplay is like 5 a side in its speed and imagination

midfield defending, the nullifying of calmac and the defending/phyicality on the lhs are the common failures (for a few seasons) I’d love to see fixed.

  19. Good Morning Celts – It’s Brighter in the Chilterns…

    BHEAVER @ 1:18 AM,

“How bad is Neurocki if he can’t get a gam3 before Scales and Trusty b”

Well that’s an interesting one, does anyone know if it’s still due to injury/fitness issues?

Also the Scales and Trusty thing seems to be more to do with inconsistency than all out ability.

Trusty was man of the match in the epic defence in Bergamo to Jullien on ice in Dundee…

    TAURANGABHOY @ 4:47 AM,

Good point on the Glory Hunters…*

Luke played well, took his goal brilliantly, noticed he was in for rough housing from the Dundee Neanderthal Division.

Got me thinking his comments in his presser might not have gone down well in Dens Park .

He had given his all when he was subbed…

Thoughts and prayers with Mrs DeniaBhoy and family…

    SPIKEYSAULDMAN @ 8:46 AM,

Jock was a phenomenal student of the game, amongst all his other qualities and his charisma – this, his super power, was often forgotten about…

*Wycombe Wanderers have been going great this season, their manager, club legend Matt Bloomfield has just gone to Luton Town during a key transfer window – Wycombe fans resigned to these things, wished him good luck and thanks for his contribution…

    Hail Hail

  20. spikeysauldman on

    Chairbhoy

recall one of Wycombe Wanderers big centre halves (maybe even captian) playing for some 5’s team during the summer – must have been late 80’s early 90’s in Milton Keynes. Gary Mabbut, who lived nearby, presented the trophy – to us :)

  21. SPIKEYSAULDMAN @ 9:12 AM,

Well done on the trophy – we could do with someone like Gary Mabbut in our current midfield

Yes, sounds very likely, key player during MO’N’s time as manager.

BTW Thanks for the Jock link…

    Hail Hail

  22. Oxford Utd were reportedly interested in a loan move for Nawrocki. I think that’s says a lot about his levels.

Lagerbielke hasn’t nailed down a spot at FC Twente so he could be on his way back to us in the summer.

We’re still dealing with the aftershocks of that summer transfer window.

  23. All season I have listened to people saying. ,we need a more competitive league to progress in Europe. Now we are moaning about a bit of competition.HH

YOU MAY be correct mate, but Ive read another report this morning that states ” Brendan says…WEAK AS PISS” to the Celtic Dug Out when TRUSTY was outjumped for Dundees 3rd Goal ?

According to some ” LIP READER” ?

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

    Well said.

  26. Sometimes Lady Luck abandons you. She did last night.

    We missed multiple chances.

Their first goal benefited from 3 deflections- one off Bernardo, one off CalMac and one off AJ.

The second goal deflects of CCV to beat Kasper.

Dundee played well but they got very lucky.
