   I assume the ‘penalty’ they are talking about was Johansens block in the box at a corner early in the game. It was a definite block and could have been given if a different referee was officiating.

    I would imagine the ref at most would see that as a block off the ball, as the cross was going no where near the Dundee player. An indirect free kick, though very rare they give them in the box.

    Solid first half – 1-0 going on 4-0.

     

     

    Our defensive 7 look so solid – all Dundee have had is a volley from outside the box.

     

     

    Gordon’s save was from a Denayer defection. Otherwise they have not posed any real danger.

     

     

    Grffiths looking sharp, dangerous and very mobile. Pity he didn’t have more support.

     

     

    Bitton is strolling through the game – pity Forrest is too. Keeps cutting inside onto his right foot – too predictable. GMS must be eyeing that spot up.

     

     

    An early goal should take the edge of the game and then we can pas the ball around just like last week.

    People would be screaming conspiracy if that if a Dundee player blocked off a Celtic player in the box and the ref never gave it. Shoulda been a pen. Dodged a bullet.

     

     

    Bitton terrific. The Griff really growing in confidence. Forrest not match sharp, but playing on the left doesn’t suit him. Expect to see him much more effective now on the right.

    I remember a cup game at Dens in the 80s when Bomber played for them. It was one of the most hostile atmospheres I’ve ever encountered.

    To be fair to him, jF needs some time to get back to top form. However, he rarely is at peak health for any extended period. May be hard on him, but he is going to have to up his game, and now … We have guys on the bench now who I’ll seize their chance (and his spot in the eleven) if he doesn’t.
