Stephbhoy, Barrowfield should have been upgraded,a long time ago,but this board at Celtic, definitely have no ambition, young children play there, the pitches are fine, but it’s a dump, and I don’t think Celtic own that land,so if anything needs upgrading it’s Glasgow City Council, Problem, back to the Celtic Board ,they definitely get a easy ride with all the Celtic Blogs, but as long as Lawell and co pick up easy cash, then they won’t ,upgrade Celtic Park,or Barrowfield

    * A bit contradictory, we don’t own it but we should upgrade it as weans play there. Think we tried tae buy it in the past and ran intae the proverbial goatshaggin brick wall which is why we bought Bobby Lennoxtown.

Watched the 3 Invincibles DVDs last night.

It’s easy to forget sometimes, however when you see all of those games again you appreciate how brilliant this wee Celtic team are.

    Scintillating football.

Definitely the best Celtic side from the modern era.

  4. Handball Meekings in the semi final against ICT , not given no sending off no penalty, Celtic goalkeeper sent off in the second half ICT win and win the Final, Treble for Ronnie Deila’s Celtic team stopped

Dembele should, and will, start on Saturday.

    As will Sinclair and Armstrong

  8. As much as I like McGregor,I think he is to lightweight, easily pushed of the Ball, also Armstrong, not convincing at times,no dig, gave the ball away to easily,I’m sure he will be away in January, plenty of positives about young Johnson, needs more first team starts,to get his fitness up,then I’m sure we will see a very good football player,Bada Bing, the point I was making about Barrowfield was it needs upgrading,I would like to go there and watch the youths playing, but there is no shelter to watch the game, which for a club that’s awash with Money is a disgrace, and if as someone said on here they don’t own it ,well our club should buy it,and do whatever it takes to upgrade it,and for the guy who spoke about the Board doing great things ,for the needy and the poor,I think it’s all down to the Fans, and not Lawell and Co,just like the Stadium it was mostly the fans cash not Fergus McCann money that built the Stadium,

Cowiebhoy – I would start with Moussa and Griff. With his much improved link up play, LG could own the No.10 role just now.

Big P – I’m an ex-poster, still lurking. Just felt the references were out of order.

    ——————————

Think Big P was agreeing with you there…

Great difference in the league table between today and last week, and notably less complaints on the Blog.

    Where have they all went?

I said to Wee BGFC last week at Tynecastle “Thank God we got beat away from home, and not at Celtic Park”,

The difference in attitude with quite a large minority (I think!) of people who go the CP these days is incredible – hear nothing from them to support the team until a Celtic player make a less than perfect pass, then a foul mouthed tirade that would be fit for a Hun.

I really wonder why such people bother their arse going to Celtic games – they seem to get no enjoyment and seem to be there to do nothing other than criticise. Better they stay on the house, or fek off somewhere else where they will find people of a similar mindset with regards abusing Celtic players.

  14. Tontime Tim & Stephbhoy

I believe Celtic tried to buy the old Belvidere Hospital and grounds ? With intention of developing with Barrowfield

As stated, Celtic do Not own Barrowfield, it is leased

Again, I believe MacMic ( Mctaggart & Mickel) offered Lennoxtown and the development, when GCC & GGHB would not sell to Celtic – hence we are now at Lennoxtown ???

    That’s what I heard anyway

    Hail Hail

  15. tommytwiststommyturns on

Gene – no problem. Can’t believe it’s taken such a low point to make me post again!

BGFC – onside with Big P there. Do you think we’re as spoilt as the huns were during their 9iar?

I remember one of them after about 6 saying that apart from european games, he only went to Celtic & Aberdeen games, as the rest of the games were dross. Hope we don’t have the same spectacular collapse as those yahoos at the end of this successful run!!

Hope the wee man is still loving his football.

  16. Regarding Neil Mc Cann, l worked with his Dad Eddie for more than twenty years, and he used to show me photographs of Young Neil and his Brother Also Eddie, who l’m told was the better football player, playing for their respective School Teams, and it was always Eddie and his wife’s greatest ambition that Neil would one day play for Celtic, unfortunately that did not come to pass, l believe Fergus wouldn’t give Tommy Burns the money, Eddie was a very staunch trade unionists, and first class man, may his soul rest in peace.

  18. Another thing

    Chris Hughton today

It was claimed yesterday that Brighton and Celtic had agreed an £18m fee for the striker.

But Brendan Rodgers said earlier today that is not the case.

And speaking after his Albion side lost 2-0 at Chelsea, Hughton revealed the same information.

“I’ve heard reports,” he said. “As manager of this football club, I’m quite sure I’d know.

“There’s been no contact between the two clubs.

“That’s speculation. There are numerous names that are cropping up, thick and fast.

as i mentioned earlier Michel Vorn on his way .

Hope so. Rather it was in January for a fee than wait until the summer and get him for free. Give him second half of season to settle in playing behind an Ajer/Compper central defence ;-)

  26. Every chance Saturday could be Moussa’s last shift with us. Hopefully he’s in the mood to go out with a bang.

Was just having a look through Instagram and I see Erik Sviatchenko was posting photos today round about the time of the game. He was down at Loch Lomond. Obviously he’s completely out of the picture but his situation is a bit odd. Sometimes I get the feeling he’s more interested in his life outside of football.

  27. My selection of MD is based on what Celtic will need at the start of the game, in no way do I think he is better than Griff just a different style of player, Griff is a cracking player who has come on a ton and I hope he is with Celtic banging the goals in for many years, nobody should be a sure start, though Broonie the way he is playing ,you cannot leave him out, what a player and Captain.
