  1. Newcastle Man City is one of the most empty, soulless, shocking football matches I’ve ever watched. It’s not even a match. Turned it off for Edinburgh derby.

I prefer to think that they could no longer afford me …. as opposed to me being a fat old fenian bastard!

    Jonny Hayes injury update

By: Newsroom Staff on 27 Dec, 2017 20:04

CELTIC Football Club has to report that, regrettably, Jonny Hayes suffered a broken leg during the game against Dundee at Dens Park yesterday.

Jonny had surgery today and will now be out for some time as he begins the long road back to full fitness. He will make a full recovery but he’s unlikely to feature again this season.

He will receive the best care and attention throughout the months ahead, while the thoughts and best wishes of everyone at Celtic and, indeed, the whole Celtic Family, are with Jonny.

Dena29 – thanks. Maybe that’s why it’s not compulsory up here – I can’t see Ross County or Hamilton paying that kind of money.

    No offence taken.

From what I’ve seen, not as much as you, I rate him as the most likely.

Agree the odd goal here or there in Scotish football wouldn’t warrant that outlay

but maybe goal difference the EPL could be a big factor in survival or relegation ,

either way cant see it being used in Scotland anytime soon

  8. LOL,the big Motherwell CH,going through the Huns like a bulldozer.Jack stretchered off,Herrera with maybe a broken nose.Inside a couple of minutes.

Delaneys Dunky is M.I.A. At the moment, not responding to calls or messages.

If anyone has contact with him, or has had contact in the last few day, let us know. Don’t care too much about the tickets, as long as G is ok.

If you want to contact me about the ticket for Saturday, it looks like I’ll be co-ordinating efforts to see them into the right hands. I can be contacted at theonlysheepinlisbon@gmail.com.

In the continued absence of Delaneys Dunkey, we may still be seeking one ticket for Saturdays game. We have 3 German guys, in Scotland right now, at Pittodrie, who have been promised tickets for Saturdays game at CP. i know it’s a long shot, this late in the day, but if anyone knows of a spare ticket ( i know of two which have been promised ), then please get in touch at the above e-mail address.

Lafferty ‘s ‘robust’ style gets him booked after three fouls. I think he had 6 against us before he was booked. If I didn’t know better, I would think officials refereed our games differently. Hmmmmm.

Commentator also surprised that Hertz are not playing with the same intensity they showed against Celtic.

    Hmmmmmmm again.

  12. As the Boos ring round the stadium.Wee Tom has been rabbiting on about bygone days, not of yore, with the other numpties on with him.Motherwell, unlucky not to be two up.Huns really dire.Well not afraid to put the boot in.

  13. So Meekins deliberate assassination of .Johnny will go unpunished – as plain as the nose on your face – he went flying in, off the ground, out of control and then did the Hun roll over kidding in he was injured.

Should be a compliance complaint if ever there was one – anyone who has ever played the game would have seen that

  14. a broken leg was on tha cards the instant i saw ‘tackle’. It was an assaault. he knew where JH was and tried to hurt him.Anyone who has played football knows the difference between a fair challenge and an attempt ti injure an opponent. Surpised it dint happen sooner especially to KT who is targettted almost every game

    Thanks BT.

Understand you have some knowledge of FTT s ? I’m looking for some procedural advice, complicated stuff. Not for the blog of course……

  16. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, to Johnny Hayes.

It may have looked an innocuous challenge at the time, but as long as our opponents believe they can get away with challenges like this, we’ll continue to see players from our squad injured and unavailable for selection

And Madden has been given the whistle for Saturday. Prepare for more of the same..

  17. Morelos hits a trundler going by the post by 2 yards.Keeper makes an ass of it,and puts it out for a corner.Huns score from it.FFS.Think its 1st attempt on target.

  18. On this showing McGinn is never a Celtic player.

    Bullied out of the play.

  20. If anyone was ever in any doubt about what Sky think of Scottish football, immediately after the Hearts v Hibs game they advertise ‘all’ the football they have on in the next week.. conveniently leaving out the 2 SPFL games that they are showing and only listing the televised EPL fixtures.
