  1. Almore,

Thanks. I don’t have any details for Ryan. As long as his Da’ is okay, that’s all that matters.

Tell him not to worry about the tickets, i can co-ordinate it from here, and have availability of requisite number of tickets for our Germanic guests ( more on these guys later ).

If DD has things in hand, but is just experiencing telecommunication issues, then that’s fine, he has my number and can call or text me when he can.

Thank you again for getting in touch. Much appreciated.

Thanks I looked through the Museum’s Website and I agree it does look to be worth a visit and doesn’t appear to glorify war they way the museum in London did when I visited it years ago.

    Delaney’s Dunky,

I’d noticed DD’s absence on here. Fair Play to Almore…Hopefully DD is okay, he made Dublin 2016.

  3. BB: DD is fine as I understand it. Just a bad dose of flu. If you need to contact me a few on here have my mobile/email.

Happy to do what I can.

    Genius!

  7. Leave KevJ alane, he didn’t get his time machine for Christmas to take him back to 1984 where in the Jungle the pillars were made of macaroooon and the rebel songs were approved by the bored and the local council.

I loved the Jungle…on occasion. Too many fights wae steamers – me included- and shit fare. Bams who pished everywhere and glared if ye complained. Did the players really get better support from those who resided there in the Jungle or like the GB, they were just part of the experience. The Celtic collective provided the support.

I usually ended up in the Celtic end.

I vividly remember Tommy Burns getting a cowardly roundhouse punch from behind against Rapid Vienna. Can remember a bottle landing on pitch and Raoid player feigning he’d been hit. Bottke came from Jungle.

I vividly remember Tommy Burns getting a cowardly roundhouse punch from behind against Rapid Vienna. Can remember a bottle landing on pitch and Rapid player feigning he’d been hit. Bottle came from Jungle. Was that being a Rebel Kev?

I remember the embarrassment of the forced replay. Bottles smashing off crossabar from my view in the Paddock in Manchester. Players assaulted. Riot police outside. All because of cheats on the park and rebels in the Jungle.

And you have the cheek to slag the GB?

Their crime is to support start to finish. Throw a wee bit of politics in and we’re all offended? Palestine? I did not support the initiative but when i saw how it was taken forward by the GB made me think twice. Football IS political. Pick your side.

The old board treated us with contempt in the 80’s and early 90’s and i paid into that sham. I knew this but did nothing as i felt my support of the team was paramount.

    I was wrong.

The true rebels saved the club and John Keane must be viewed as a hero for his role and Fergus for taking it forward.

I am not a fan if the Celtic Trust as i feel it attracts uber Celts who feel they are better than your average fan. Sorry HT. Just my experience of committees.

True they have done good work but they are NO better than that work done by Kano Foundation. A truer rep of the support for less kudos than trust seek.

To sum up Kev, we have never been in a better position, never been better represented and never held this position of enjoying continued Eurooean participation, limited as it is.

  12. Just a wee thought, in recent years Southampton have become a feeder club for Liverpool in a similar way that we have become a feeder club for Southampton. Will Southampton try and spend some of their Virgil money at Celtic Park? They will after all require a replacement centre half.

  13. Kev, true reps won’t be deleted unless it breaks blog roolz. Keep it sweet.

See when you type ‘back of the bus’ it just riles some folk, esp the repetition of same. It does me. You loved Celtic once, don’t see how you can’t again.

  14. Art of War on 28th December 2017 12:23 am

    True.

    But face facts.

In the modern game of football if you play in a European country its all about Europe.

    Celtic not much hope there.

Therefore, this implies Celtic PLC custodian MO and business continuity plan for the foreseeable future = bigot buck. Supply and demand mate. There is a big supply of OF bigots

  15. Celtarella, yup. We have one point of access to continued dominance in Scotland and that’s Europe. Bigot Buck fulfills that end so we big up OF without saying so. Charge accordingly without embarrassment and meet our contractual requirement.

How you think (not saying you are) we do this without the charade?

Celtic in impossible position as SMSM would only report it as our problem.

  16. AOW

Aye. Wee book of Calvin. Weer awe wee bigots here. It is whit it is. Get yer money oot and bitch aboot orange walks and the papers and oor wullies siiting oan eez bucket. Aye and whit school did ye go tae and what mass did ye go tae and Johnny hayes plays for Celtic a few times and gets a broken leg. Aye well thats what ye get fur askin and thats whit ye get for no askin.

My kingdom My kingdom for a cattle prod!

  17. Kev J,

There are a few on here who refuse to attend any match involving Celtic Plc and Sevco. Most posters appear to have thrown in the towel, some even watch Sevco matches and update this blog (Why not?)

Others insist in listening to or watching the BBC and posting about anti Celtic bias. Others even post links to the Daily Record and other tabloids on here?

Some posters will then take to the keyboard to voice their frustration instead refusing to listen to, watch or read/pay for anything that propagates the Same Club lie.

    It’s a lucrative old game.

The Plc see a handy earner in this ‘domestic invincibility nonsense’ and appear to have Celt Oot. They say and do nothing. And seem quite happy to bank the £10m a year from the Bigot’s pockets.

That is the ‘Annual £10m Bigots Dividend.’

St Paul told the Corinthians ‘Love delights in the Truth.’ Unfortunately that message still hasn’t been received by the mandarins of Scottish Football.

Who knows if Dermot Desmond is playing a subtle game of Poker with the Sevconians. Maybe he does know that as presently constituted Sevco are a busted flush, a dog’s dinner of a club. A club that are about to announce an Administration Event again?

Maybe we are just playing with Glibby and his cohorts until they go off the rails again? Maybe it’s better to go along and laugh at the endless disasters at ‘Carry On Sevco.’

To sell 50.000 plus Season Tickets in one of the most uncompetitive leagues in the Europe is no small achievement. The attraction of seeing the bluenoses (cheats) being humiliated is too big an attraction for many. (why not?)

In the last 50 years the SPFL/SPL has been won 48 out of 50 times by Celtic or Deadco.

Since the death of Rangers and the emergence of the new skint entity ‘Sevco’, Celtic are a shoe in to win the League. There is no competition…

So putting Sevco to the slaughter is the big attraction.

It’s Big Daddy v Mr Bean.

It’s a Self Made Financiers (Gamblers) dream.

Guaranteed dominance in a alleged two horse race…

(Oh and it gets you into Europe too and attracts the Wanyama’s, Forsters, VVD and Moussa’s.)

    Nytol

  18. The Manipulators of the Scottish game messed up giving Celtic an extra 1.5 days to prepare for the newco.

Make sure you Record this game. It is gonnae be something else, in more ways than one.

If the Mighty Moussa is leaving, I hope he leaves with another hattrick.

Celtic look like not playing him, that is fair enough. Big Money incoming.

I’d take the risk him getting injured just to see him RAGDOLL the Hun one more time, howevaaaaaah. Somethings are just pricelesss.

  19. Celtarella – have you read The Tain?

  20. 1993-10-20: Celtic 1-0 Sporting Lisbon, UEFA Cup

    Teams

    Celtic:- (4-4-2):

Bonner; Grant, Gillespie, Mowbray, Boyd; Byrne (O’Neil, 83), McGinlay, McStay, Collins; Creaney, Nicholas.

    Goal:- Creaney (9)

    Sporting Lisbon:- (3-5-2):

Costinha; Peixe, Valckx, Torres; Alves, Rocha (Figo, 72), Scherbakov, Sousa, Pacheco; Cadete, Balakov.

    Referee:- B Heynemann (Germany).

    Att:- 31.321

McStay was immense in this game, particularly the first half where every attacking move seemed to go through him.

Always available for a pass, never rushed, pivotal to our slender victory.

On that performance the maestro looked like the only quality player on show for us that night against a very good Sporting team.

Paul was a beacon of brilliant light in such a dark time for our club. Legend gets overused but not in this instance, for that’s what he is.

I see shades of McStay in Broony. SB brings so much composure to the side and will be sorely missed as others on here have mentioned when he hangs up the boots.

He doesn’t quite have the same skill or passing ability of McStay but he’s not far behind.

Highlights don’t do McStay’s performance that night any justice, believe me, he was awesome!
