‘DYNAMIC’ KAYAL

BERAM KAYAL will be a “dynamic” force in new club Brighton’s midfield.

That’s the view of boss Chris Hughton who has signed Celtic’s 26-year-old Israeli international for a fee of around £325,000.

Kayal, capped 26 times, passed a medical on Friday and has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Hughton said: “We’re delighted to have agreed a deal for someone of Kayal’s stature.

“He’s got plenty of experience with Celtic and is an international.

“Beram is a good age and is a player who is really dynamic in midfield.

“He can play a few roles, including the holding role, but he also has the energy to break forward.

“And he has the ability to play in a two or three-man midfield, so that gives us flexibility in that area.

“He has been involved in some big games at Celtic and he will give us another really good option.”

Kayal, signed from Maccabi Haifa in 2010, was poised to quit the Hoops at the end of his contract in summer.

He has made 13 appearances under Ronny Deila this season, nine as a substitute.
