The visit of Celtic fans passed with less incident (and arrest of visitors) than most visiting fans endured in recent seasons.

Doc, the problem that I’ve got with the ‘bored’ is that = they don’t respect or fight the corner of the fholk who pay their wages. imo
To cut a long story short – why do they continue to piss the Cellic fans money up against a wall with their continued pursuit of a continually failing transfer policy ?

As people are posting past experiences of Amsterdam. I am going to as well. Before I do, I will say I am quite well travelled and I find people are pretty much the same all over the world. Most of the scariest experiences I have had have been in West Lothian but I’ve also spent a lot of time there. ok. Here goes:
Twenty odd years ago I was in Amsterdam with a friend from Paisley. One night we were in the red light district late at night. We were window shopping. I was looking up to a girl on the third floor when this guy bumped into me. He had a piece of paper in his hand with some powder on it that is now mostly on the street. “You’ve dropped my gear!” says the Dutch guy in English. I inform him he bumped into me and I was standing still, so it wasn’t my fault. He then suggests I pay half, to which my mate says, “Where the fuck did you get money to buy dope?”. We begin to walk away. He pulls out a flick knife and thrusts it to my throat and flicks it open as and he does it opens and is pressed against my skin ever so slightly. Behind him, I see a policeman watching everything. “Mr Policeman!” I say and the guy turned around and saw the cop then walked off, past the cop, still holding the knife. The policeman then turns away and walks on.

Re Ajax fans
I was in Germany on a stag many years ago, got chatting to some Germans on where I could catch the Celtic v hearts game (one the goalie threw the ball in the net the last min).
Anyway, the Germans were delighted to meet a Celtic fan and we were blathering away about football.
group of Dutch boys in the pub over heard us and started giving it the old sevconian chat about the Celtic.
Guy who’s stag it was is a big blue nose who joined in with them, anyway, they were Ajax fans who for whatever reason absolutely hated Celtic and were right into the rangers in a big way.
That’s going back 7 or so years.
