Celtic’s first piece of incoming transfer business this evening was for Nigeria international central defender, Efe Ambrose, 23, who joins from Israeli club Ashod. I’ve absolutely no recon on Efe but I can tell you he has been our primary defensive target for some time now. There has been considerable research put into his capture, so there should be few surprises to Neil Lennon and his coaching staff.
Our last venture into Israel, to sign Beram Kayal, was an unqualified success. If Efe adjusts to life at Celtic as well we will have added an excellent defender to the squad.
Welcome to Celtic, Efe. Don’t think we’re finished yet.

I was trying to get a guesstimate of how much is paid out , in total, each year, by Celtic, to all you fat cat capitalists wot own shares? :-)
Based on your £16 (is that a yearly average?), how many multiples of £16 are Celtic paying out each year?
Jonathan Pearce (BBC MOTD)

Stag do?
Tim Malone Will Tell
Thought Victor Wanyama, as a 20 year old international with a lot of playing experience in Belgium was probably a good signing.
A 27 year old striker with a 1 in 4 scoring record doesn’t get the juices flowing for me.
Miku I hope will be a good signing but after being linked to Ogunjimi, a Belgian international, and Russell, i’m just a bit underwhelmed. No doubt a few more glasses of red and i’ll get over my hissy fit and start telling my sons we’ve signed another Messi. ;-)
Chelsea’s first half performance reminds me of many of our away performances in Europe.
Simply not at the races.
3………………
Thank you….
…..re deadline day…….
….there’s always some rocket suggesting they’ve just seen Silvio Silver-Salver or somesuch euro ‘crack’ being fitted up for a viscose two piece nehru suit at Ralph’s as some fantastic preliminary to being unveiled at Paradise.

Why are we assisting an ‘enemy’ club…
Rather than the likes of St.Mirren,Hibs,
Or The Dundee Duo….?
Well,Ol’ Andre has gained a reputation for being a ‘disruptive Influence’ at a number of his previous clubs…..
Could this amount to a most cunning Trojan Horse Manoeuvre by NFL…….?
Designed to give Butcher some sleepless nights…..?
What has Nutsy to say….about this most interesting development…on a rather dull day..?
Or should we consult with Alyss..?

Whit daeing?’ His donkey on the beach??
“Francesco Stella is not necessarily a star, more likely to be of the beer vintage, although his first name sounds distinctly Italian and, therefore, he cant be that bad at football, is close to completing a move to Rangers ( Sevco) and is undergoing a medical on Friday.
STV understands the Australian-born forward, who has an Italian passport and was last with AC Siena (beautiful historic city which typifies every positive stereotype of Italy except, of course, the team is consistently crap at football) will sign a deal later in the day if no injury problems are discovered.
Stella has been on trial with Ally McCoist’s side for two weeks and joins Sebastian Faure and Anestis Argyriou in coming through successful trial periods. However, this judgement has to be carefully weighed against the irrefutable evidence that super Ally is a desperately hurting man with an astonishingly poor record as a coach who, despite this crucial point, is revered by the many numpties who support the financially and morally corrupt organisation more accurately known as New Sevconians.
The impressively non-prolific 21-year-old scored two goals in 17 illustrious appearances in the Primavera C last season, finding the net against the cream of Italian also-rans Ascoli and Bari whose defences are so porous that it is commonly felt amongst the intellingensia of Italian football that Andy Little would probably have scored a hat-trick against both teams.”
Cant wait to hammer thems in the cup!

No idea??? lost me :O)
Tully in from Belfast.
dont believe the hype, hes no a Jimmy Delaney
Guys – i don’t know how good a player Miku is, but he plays for getafe, who are an excellent side. they beat real madrid last weekend – Miku started but got subbed off. Suggesting he will struggle in the spl is, it think very naive. He is playing in the top league in the world, for a very good side.
See that boy Bothroyd is away to Sheffield Wed on loan from QPR.
Wonder if he regrets not comings to Celtic?
Hell mend him.
