Assuming Sir David Murray was telling the truth to Sky News in March (bear with me), there is a £10m gap between the sum recorded in Rangers accounts as paid to EBTs and the recipients revealed by the BBC last night.
It may be that the BBC didn’t receive information on some Rangers employees but we should also consider what other non-employees received payment from an Employee Benefit Trust, like Graeme Souness, who was employed by another club at the time.
What other clubs’ employees received a piece of that £10m? Was it only Blackburn Rovers? Did they know about it? Did an employee of another SPL club receive payment from Rangers Employee Benefit Trust?
What about journalists? The cosy relationship between football clubs and sports journalists has been one of the most incongruous features of this debacle.
What about officials? Yes, officials?
We know cash went out of the company, we know how much is unaccounted for, we just don’t know where it went. The already-established multi-association nature of these revelations (it involved a club registered by the Football Association in England) puts the matter beyond the immediate scope of the Scottish authorities, which is some comfort.
Many of the facts have been revealed but this will be a story that is still giving a decade from now. Before Rangers disappear into the ether, the authorities (football and other) must use all leverage possible to discover where that £10m went.
I didn’t see a penny. Did you?
I am still trying to digest the enormity of what was revealed last night. This could take a while.

I think he tweeted that he couldn’t be in Florida because he was at a UEFA conference at the start of the week.
Sad to say, despite Paul’s predictions that today would be a big day of resignations and statements, I knew watching it last night that it wouldn’t be.
The information relating to EBT’s is shocking, and the fact the BBC found so much evidence damns Rangers to Hell.
Yet, I knew the machinery would scarcely tremble, far less kick into high gear.
The truth is this; none of these people (peepil) will voluntarily go, or admit wrong-doing, and none will personally unleash the hounds on Ibrox.
This has room to run yet, but I do not expect instant (or even quick) gratification.
For that, I think we will need to phone Paul Baxendale Walker.

For the SFA to leave the inquiry to the SPL is a complete derelection of duty. The evidence of cheating on a grand scale is in the public domain and Mr Regan says Let’s all relax and wait and see.
I also think that it is now time for the Celtic board to make a statement, if only a call to the SFA to wake up and get the inquiry completed. Celtic should also saying that if the BBC’s findings are confirmed, then titles must be taken away from the club formerly known as Rangers FC.
Deadline for documents to be received? Deadline? i want to know what this deadline is.

Has he never heard of the Internet or BBC iPlayer. He has NO excuse whatsoever not to have watched the programme.
This deadline that the SPL have announced (but not really) today – did they not already set a deadline of 6th April?

The Shredder
It seems they’re waiting for the parts
Treading carefully to avoid loose farts
The shredder seems to have blown a fuse
With all the documents that they’ve used
Only one more room of evidence left
Detailing the corruption and the theft
Staff have been working through the night
To clear up the mess and all the shyte
They all had to work starker’s in the nude
Hoping that police officers wouldn’t intrude
The red hot chilli shredder working at speed
Destroying the evidence of their greed

I’m havin’ the same problem. I bought a sling…haven’t had the heart to use it though…even thought it’s a yappin’ rat dog I don’t sit easy with hurting an animal…even this abomination.
Its owner slings a deaf ear.
Noise abatement outfoxed.
Patience wearing thin.
Even my gentle missus is getting riled.
Mates say poison it.
What to do?
Don’t listen to your mates whatever you do…some other poor innocent creature could get it. A suppose a sling is acceptable if you use something like a rolled up bit of paper ( something to frighten it)…personally I would invest in a fairly high powered water pistol. Told the wife this was my plan but keep forgetting to buy one when I’m out ( kinda memory like a sieve I’ve got)…but I think a very good water pistol will stop the rat in its tracks. What can you neighbour object to? A wee bit of water? Its only using the auld Pavlovian conditioning technique…eventually when the dumb rat learns it will stop. (That’s the theory).
Ye need to go for the dogs bollox…………..
Just been listening to the auld UB40 just now ….great song…… “The gers Die Screaming” well that’s what it sounded like.
Right I’m offski now, them ice cold beers won’t drink themselves, long weekend pour moi starting right now.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but West Ham have releaseed John Carew (32), Papa Bouba Diop (32) and Abdoulaye Faye (34).
I think Carew would be a great old head for up front and at 6’5″ would be very hard to bully.
Equally Bouba Diop is pretty handy and has extensive European experience.
Could be worth a punt on bosmans?

Magic stuff
So who’s that girl there?
I wonder what went wrong
So that she had to roam the streets
She don’t do major credit cards
I doubt she does receipts
It’s all not quite legitimate
And what a scummy man
Just give him half a chance
I bet he’ll rob you if he can
Can see it in his eyes, yeah
That he’s got a driving ban
Amongst some other offences
And I’ve seen him with girls of the night
And he told Roxanne to put on her red light
They’re all infected but he’ll be alright
Cause he’s a scumbag, don’t you know
I said he’s a scumbag, don’t you know!
Although you’re trying not to listen
Avert your eyes and staring at the ground
She makes a subtle proposition
I’m sorry love I’ll have to turn you down
And oh he must be up to summat
What are the chances sure it’s more than likely
I’ve got a feeling in my stomach
I start to wonder what his story might be
What his story might be
They said it changes when the sun goes down
And they said it changes when the sun goes down
And they said it changes when the sun goes down
Around here
Around here
And look here comes a Ford Mondeo
Isn’t he Mister Inconspicuous
And he don’t even have to say ‘owt
She’s in the stance ready to get picked up
Bet she’s delighted when she sees him
Pulling in and giving her the eye
Because she must be fucking freezing
Scantily clad beneath the clear night sky
She don’t stop in the winter, no and…
They said it changes when the sun goes down
And they said it changes when the sun goes down
And they said it changes when the sun goes down
Around here
They said it changes when the sun goes down
Over the river going out to town
And they said it changes when the sun goes down
Around here
Around here
What a scummy man
Just give him half a chance
I bet he’ll rob you if he can
Can see it in his eyes that he’s got a nasty plan
I hope you’re not involved at all
RTC reckons that Walter Smith applied for money from the EBT four years after leaving but the money was never paid. Did he have second thoughts?
RTC also says that Sally is not a beneficiary.

RTC has got that very wrong…they don’t need no leader, they have Mr Dignity himself: Sandy Jardine in his official capacity as Chief no mark upstart & General agitator…besides he just inherited Watty’s best handmedoon cardigans…
The Evening Times and the Daily Record appear to be playing a blinder in attempts at limiting the damage from last night’s revelations.
Their loyalty in protecting Rangers is almost touching, but the pain is still at an early stage. Liquidation and stripped titles can’t be ignored – even if these things are reported with heavy hearts.

All this diversionary chat re Juninho Paulista and his wages while at CP……….. a one off; whatever errors (if any), were involved………….
Pretty sure though that BQ et al would have headed off at the pass any perceived malfeasance.
Now, as for the Ibrox monkey huns FC (formerly known as the ‘provisional RIA’) and wrt their related recipients of EBTs, the issue revolves or will do, IMHO, as to whether it is systemic or not. Systemic being the operative word……….. Aye, systemic. Anywhere but Scotland and a few (other) banana republics, this would be the crux………
You know though, for all that, I still think that they will be playing in the SPL 2012/2013……. in whatever guise, and no matter what evidence of (their) wrongdoing is in the public domain!
Sad and wrong in so many ways!
Right, enough of my garbled opinions.
Good Night and God Bless.

I reckon cardihuns proposed EBT is linked to Kanchelskis loan to Man City or Michael Balls transfer

The Cardigan sold Ball to rangers for £6.5 Million in August 2011. Read the below and then think if he is a hero or it was decided he had a brass neck claiming his bonus from the deal.
Ball
“I’d had trouble with the patella tendon at Everton for about 18 months, on and off, but wasn’t the type to make a big thing about injuries and the physio just told me to do stretches. When I mentioned it again, Walter Smith let me off training during the week and the knee felt better. But, looking back, I think this was just hiding the problem. So were the injections in the middle of the season and at the end. They helped me get a move to Rangers — but they knackered me.”
Sorry, 2001.

Les:
The main problem with Priemiership guys is the exorbitant wages.
But agree with Carew- I think he would be a great foil for our nippy wee strikers.
This might be redundant at worst and rhetorical at best…
But…
Why would an outfit the size of Sky Sports have a lead story on their Scottish Premier internet page detailing Rangers’ interest in Ian Black?
Why would the story the story (short as it is) state that it would be incumbent on their transfer embargo being lifted when the appeal has already been heard?
Why would a Rangers coach allow himself to be quoted and saying ‘He is on the list.’?
What is any sane man to think of
a) the reporting standards of Sky Sports?
b) the actual mental operating standards of Rangers employees?
u
I am fed up hearing about the”poor Rangers fans”and “It’s others who have caused this not them.”What about the Celtic season ticket holders who paid money for fixed league titles in the huns favour? What about the guys who stuck a tenner on Celtic to win the league at the beginning of each season for Rangers to win that title? What about the money spent on away games during these titles?fortunes!!!Where are you Uefa???
Addendum – Sky Sports article dated 24/5/2012 and posted at 09.51am.
