While Celtic are in the middle of a month with six home games, we face Hearts on Sunday on their eighth consecutive home game and tenth game on the trot in Edinburgh. Runs of games like this do you no favours in the long run, but they provide pockets or benefit.
Training schedules for Hearts have been perfect during this period, without needing to factor in a trip to Dingwall, for example. Game plans will have been consistent and clear. There will be modifications for the visit of the champions, but we will face a team who are as ready as they could be for the challenge.
This letter from the Ticket Office:
Like many of you, I have several season tickets in my wallet right now. They are not always used by the named person (Martin42 has been unable to use his ticket since August (!) due to injury).
I have not been in touch with the club, so can only wonder what “the Celtic Ticket Office is not obliged to provide information about the named Season Ticket Holder to any third party” could be about. It is an obscure reference, as is “in all cases relating to Season Tickets photo ID is required”.
Letters like this are never produced purely to irritate, there will be an issue to be addressed. It will not be a mean-spirited attempt to stop you taking a friend to the occasional game – which we all do.
But if the issue is serious enough to write to all season ticket holders: explain, explain, explain. It’s not just the perma-rage-against-the-man-types (you don’t know who you are, so don’t bother wondering) who are troubled by this, some will be reluctant in future to invite a friend along to Celtic Park on a spare ticket.
Lessons learned, I’m sure.

More than half way through the key month of December, SPL wise, it’s not turned out as I thought. Sevco Rangers doing rather better and Hibs doing rather worse.
Still, neither a surprise, I did mention Hibs inconsistency (before Brendan;) and Sevco can always get by with a little help from their friends.
Reading the writing on the wall, I would say Sevco Rangers are in an endgame. Wouldn’t like to predict how it’s all going to manifest itself but don’t think it’s too far away.
Hope we play well and have a great result v Hearts, Dembele back and hungry?
The Edinburghers have been a huge disappointment for me. Ann Budge is not the Messiah, she’s, IMO, a very over-rated Chairperson.
Still, the League is still interesting and despite their black arts, I don’t think Sevco will get a European Berth, that’s still Lenny’s if he wants it.

Strongest team today, no room for slip ups, three point essential today in my opinion, I hope Brendan doesn’t stray to far from his best Bhoys, Hearts haven’t been great of late and we have a very decent record against them but with the sheep only two points back we need all three points.

So Happy Christmas everybody, I’m off to 11.30 Mass before the game in my favourite Franciscan Friary Church but for once am not too happy about it.
WE have a pretty famous local band here & they play at this Mass every year, There will be about 70 of them giving it laldy with Brass & Drums but the problem is these guys are enjoying themselves and don’t know when to stop and I need to be back home by 12.30.

Off at a tangent (and sacrilegious to do so just 75 minutes before kick off) but would anyone have a complete ballpark figure for having a living room (not mine) plastered (skimmed?) roughly 25 foot by 15 foot and walls 8ft (a ‘Jamesgang’) high? My bhoy’s getting a quote today but will have absolutely no idea if it’s competitive or a compleete rip off. Not something I’ve ever had done myself. he and his Mrs moved in a few weeks ago and have stripped the 3 layers of wallpaper off hoping to paint. But underlying walls not in the best condition.
