Edinburgh again, Ticket Office Blues

635

While Celtic are in the middle of a month with six home games, we face Hearts on Sunday on their eighth consecutive home game and tenth game on the trot in Edinburgh. Runs of games like this do you no favours in the long run, but they provide pockets or benefit.

Training schedules for Hearts have been perfect during this period, without needing to factor in a trip to Dingwall, for example. Game plans will have been consistent and clear. There will be modifications for the visit of the champions, but we will face a team who are as ready as they could be for the challenge.

This letter from the Ticket Office:

Like many of you, I have several season tickets in my wallet right now. They are not always used by the named person (Martin42 has been unable to use his ticket since August (!) due to injury).

I have not been in touch with the club, so can only wonder what “the Celtic Ticket Office is not obliged to provide information about the named Season Ticket Holder to any third party” could be about. It is an obscure reference, as is “in all cases relating to Season Tickets photo ID is required”.

Letters like this are never produced purely to irritate, there will be an issue to be addressed. It will not be a mean-spirited attempt to stop you taking a friend to the occasional game – which we all do.

But if the issue is serious enough to write to all season ticket holders: explain, explain, explain.  It’s not just the perma-rage-against-the-man-types (you don’t know who you are, so don’t bother wondering) who are troubled by this, some will be reluctant in future to invite a friend along to Celtic Park on a spare ticket.

Lessons learned, I’m sure.

  2. BlantyreTim: Thanks for reminding us of Martin. I was a lurker while he was ill but loved the site for all the Celtic info I could read. Delighted also that the money we raised from our Easter Rising celebration in Dublin went to the Kano Foundation.

On another note, Paul67 mentioned his dad’s injury which is keeping him away from games at Paradise. Best wishes to Martin42 for a speedy recovery.

Looking forward to welcoming my youngest son back to Dublin tomorrow morning having spent the last year in Toronto.

So sorry to hear about Derry.

It’s such a painful experience to lose a beloved pet.

You gave her all your love and she gave you all of hers

Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. That will be your comfort in the times to come.

Thoughts with you tonight my friend.

Res:12 should be entitled to its own section on the Celtic Way, educating future generations of Celtic supporters, to, not to be put to the back of the bus, for being too trusting.

The Resolution:12 Rebellious Gallant Band, if properly channelled, could pave the way out of Scottish football for Celtic, with their tenacious exposé, of the corruption that has haunted our game in favor of one club, who, when asked to operate on a level playing field, they died as a consequence.

Res:12, could have been, and might yet prove to be, the savior of Scottish football.

But, given the amount of apathy that is evident in the Scottish game, Res:12 could prove to the the biggest sitter that Celtic supporters will ever miss.

The apparently, justice hungry Celtic support, have already scored, probably the *biggest* O.G. in the history of our club, when they fell into the Celtic PLC trap of, paying £49 for an Old Firm match ticket, which authenticated the Sevco / Rainjurs, same club lie, and, in future years, this might prove to be fatal.

In the age of the internet, a group of vigilante Celtic supporters, known as, “The Internet Bampots” compiled, mountain, after, mountain of evidence, which exposed the corruption in favor of one club in Scottish football, or, did John Reid hand them his famous dossier ?

Anyway, the Jury of the Jungle verdict, indicates that, no amount of, mountains of evidence, will be any use, if……there is no desire within Celtic Park, to *action* that evidence.

The Jury of the Jungle goes on to state, “Maybe a similar show to the 30,000 empty seats who recruited Brendan the pub team skelper, will create the desire within the Celtic PLC board to action the multiple mountains of evidence, and, failing that, tumbleweed apathy will be the new order.”

    The Jury Of The Jungle©

Whatever happens, a niche should be carved on the Celtic Way, for the Res:12 Gallant Rebel Band.

    Anywye,…….

    ……..oot.

    Thanks for that gentle reminder.

RIP Martin and thoughts and prayers with Carolyn, Sean, Alana and his Martin’s extended family.
