ODSONNE EDOUARD has been overlooked by France for their Olympics football squad in Japan next month.
It looked as though Celtic would go into their crucial Champions League qualifiers without the goal threat of their 23-year-old striker, as CQN warned back in November.
Even if Edouard does not move in the summer transfer window, there were still fears the Parkhead side would be deprived of his services for the vital ties with the opener due against FC Midtjylland on July 20 in Glasgow with the second leg in Denmark eight days later.
However, French manager Sylvain Ripoll removed that possibility by leaving him out of his travelling pool of players for the tournament.
Edouard has 12 months to run on his current contract and has been linked with several clubs, including a reunion with former gaffer Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, but it appears the Irishman is now looking elsewhere.
New boss Ange Postecoglou admitted at the press conference this afternoon he has yet to speak to Edouard about his future at the club.
