ODSONNE EDOUARD has been named as one of European football’s top 50 players for the future.
UEFA released a list of 50 youngsters whom they predict will have massive futures in the game.
And Celtic’s talismanic striker Edouard is listed alongside bright babes such as Barcelona’s Ansu Fati, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli and Porto’s Fabio Silva.
It’s a massive boost for the France Under-21 frontman who is the Hoops’ most expensive purchase at £9million when he agreed a permanent move from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2018.
Listing the qualities of the 21-year-old forward, the UEFA list insists: “Strong, athletic and deceptively quick, the ex-Paris trainee links play well and is ice cool in front of goal; an U21 star for France, he ended 2019 top scorer in Scotland.”
Edouard has claimed 51 strikes in 112 games for the eight-in-a-row champions, including 17 in 31 this season, He is currently the top marksman in the Premiership with 13 goals.
He became a History Bhoy when he scored the double that gave Celtic a 2-1 Scottish Cup Final triumph over Hearts at Hampden on May 25 last year to seal the unprecedented treble treble.
