EDOUARD: NO DEAL

CELTIC are ready to repel any record-breaking offers for Odsonne Edouard when the transfer window reopens in January.

The champions’ hierarchy are aware the elegant striker is on the wanted list of some of Europe’s richest clubs following his hat-trick for the France Under-21s in their 5-3 Euro qualifying win in Slovakia this week.

That took Edouard’s record to 12 goals in four outings at that level for his nation and has sparked interest in the 21-year-old frontman who cost £9million whe he arrived from Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent basis last summer following a season-long loan.

The Hoops sold Moussa Dembele to Lyon in August 2018 for £19.8million and Kieran Tierney quit the club in a £25million switch to Arsenal in the summer.

However, it is believed Edouard’s representatives have already been told they are not interested in parting with the player in the winter window.

The fans’ favourite has already gone on record as saying his in in no rush to leave the club as they zero in on nine in a row.

Speaking last month, he said: “Each player has his own career, his own path.

“As far as I’m concerned, at the moment I am here and I’ve got a long contract — I’m really enjoying what I’m doing.

“I just want to keep making sure I enjoy playing for Celtic and then we’ll see what happens. But there is no plan.”
