EDOUARD POSER, GRIFF HINT

ODSONNE EDOUARD has been included in Neil Lennon’s provisional squad for tomorrow’s Premiership visit to Dingwall to take on Ross County.

The French striker missed the 3-1 win over Rennes in the Europa League Group E clash at Parkhead on Thursday night with the Hoops boss admitting the 14-goal man had felt a a niggle.

Edouard will be monitored before the noon kick-off in the Highlands, but Lennon will take no risks with the frontman with another league game due against Hamilton Accies in Glasgow in midweek and the Betfred League Cup Final against Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox outfit at Hampden due a week tomorrow.

The Irishman admitted the team have been relying heavily on the 21-year-old ace and demanded his side to prove they can operate without the talisman.

Lennon, speaking to the Daily Record, said: “We all know how important Odsonne is, but if we do lose him for a game or two, others can come in and we can still win. They answered all the questions and challenges we threw down on Thursday night.”

Lewis Morgan got the nod to play as a makeshift attacker in Edouard’s absence and scored the opening goal in the 3-1 triumph over Rennes while Leigh Grifiths remained on the substitutes’ bench.

The Scotland international marksman, who made a cameo appearance in the 4-0 win over Livingston a week ago, could come in against the Dingwall outfit who were thrashed 6-0 at Parkhead earlier in the season.

Lennon hinted: “We’ve got Griffiths there and, hopefully, he won’t be a million miles away.”
