Delighted to hear Ronny Deila is planning to rest players ahead of Tuesday’s Cup Final. There is plenty to be gained from playing the next wave of Callum McGregors at Inverness tomorrow, and little to be lost in the league race.
Our unique position in world football, a club who are so massively bigger than all others they are not involved in a proper competition to win the league, has more drawbacks than advantages, but we need to exploit this position by developing emerging talent when the stars align.

As far as the football industry is concerned, Malky’s unforgivable sin is not racism, homophobia or anti-Semitism, these matters are often overlooked as ‘banter’, after all. He’ll not get another job because he blew millions on players who were useless to Cardiff.
That’s the only kind of offence football really tales notice of.

DD should get the ole Lear Jet out for the trip to Inverness,4 hours both ways on a bus is not recommended,ahead of Tuesday. I don’t think it’s a matter of resting players, avoiding injuries more like.

The Green Brigade add to the colour and sense of spectacle at Celtic Park but they have proved time and again that they can’t be trusted to behave properly. Their leadership seems to have a really childish ‘stick it to the man’ mentality and seem to think that the rules of the stadium shouldn’t apply to them. It’s their loss. Learn to behave or eff off.

Thanks. I do understand that not everything is black and white in terms of alcoholism but I have 2 kids myself, 23 and 18 and if I had the choice of them or drink I know what way I’d go. I know everyone will have a different story to tell if they have been affected by drink.
Why do some think that the GB members will not just go to the game on Wednesday like normal supporters? I am confident they will.
As regards best preparation for Tuesday night, I believe a much changed Saturday side would be the best choice. Rugby fans will be very aware that on Lions` tours, there are, effectively, two teams; the Test Team (CL for us) and the Provincial Team (Spfl). This was to give the Lions the best chance of winning the most important games ie the Test Matches. Same for us.

I also like the Green Brigade for the noise and atmosphere they bring and I hope they eventually return. What I don’t like is the hijacking of a large crowd in order to get some message across. In my opinion, it’s a scummy thing to do.
People are there to watch football not to be part of a protest meeting.

Canamalar I brought back the away top. I don’t particularly like it but my brother who like me passionately believes in Scotland said that it will be an iconic top. So I have this tartan Celtic top. Celtic have to be covertly neutral independence, but I have no impression of a no support other than individuals in my family. It looks like close to a 50/50 vote so there will be as many Scots winners as losers. The good thing is that the worse case scenario is status quo and that is not too bad.
Given the entitled ‘relief’ we received through EUFA’s Rule Book I’m amazed some folk are relaxed about possible breaches supposedly planned by the GB.
That UEFA would stand by their Rule Book was obvious but I’d think the consequential disquiet which resulted embarrassed them somewhat. Any breach by our Club, given our past penalties and the furore of the LW situation, would IMO mean we would stand to be penalised at the severe end of the range.
Now maybe an expression of free opinion and the right to express it should take precedence no matter what but I’d be an unhappy bhoy were a stand or the stadium to be closed or worse.
Does anyone really think otherwise????????

I doubt they were planning any political demo when they didnt even know if they had tickets. The yes-no thing is hardly controversal . Sevco fans are being clear that they will vote no. Celtic park is a huge stadium and its difficult to get the singing going when a big part of the season book holders seem to be getting on in years or too middle-class to make a noise. The young blood support should be given at least half of the behind the goal areas ,both ends ,then we’d have the place rocking again . Anybody remember the Jungle?

Greatly disappointed after reading the GB have failed to be re instated at the ground. Their Charity work, (Food Bank collections, Foundation work, Kenya project etc), their support for the Team at away games, the colour and atmosphere they bring to home games far out weighs the overhyped bad publicity certain rag newspapers happily broadcast.
Last Saturdays first home game of the season, with the ‘Bunnet’ unfurling the League Flag, should have seen Celtic Park rocking.. instead, the place was two thirds full, and the attempts to get the singing started was almost embarrassing. I sincerely hope the Board, or whoever; thinks again about their ban, and realises the GB are an asset to the team and the Club. I miss ‘Glasgows Green and White’ and COYBIG !!
The Club need to deal with individual bad behaviour, not blanket ban a section.
