Over the summer I could frequently be heard muttering, “We need a left back”. Despite returning from injury at the turn of the year, Emilio Izaguirre was unable to command a regular starting place in the team. His occasions starts provided evidence why. With Charlie Mulgrew the most authoritative central defender in the squad the left back slot looked like our most vulnerable position.
Emilio’s early form this season was no better, especially in the Champions League qualifiers, but recent weeks has seen the player return to his very best. His confidence seems to have returned as he is taking opponents on with purpose which had been missing for over a year.
On this form, we can look forward to seeing him test himself at the Camp Nou.

According to reports Manchester United are interested in Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.
The Mirror claims Sir Alex Ferguson’s brother Martin – who works as one of United’s team of scouts – has watched Wanyama several times this season.
United are in the market for a defensive midfielder and Kenya international Wanyama is one of the names on their radar following his impressive form north of the border.
The 21-year-old joined Celtic for £900,000 from Belgian side Beerschot AC in July 2011 and has emerged as a key member of Neil Lennon’s side.
Martin Ferguson has watched him in Celtic’s Champions League games this season, to assess his merits against stronger opposition than he meets in the Scottish Premier League.
…………
A Mod on KDS who knows Martin F personally has been told by him that the story is complete rafael. It was posted at the weekend on there.
Regarding John Brown- show me the deeds! outburst. Obviously Der Bomber had an inkling that Charles Green did not own Ibrox stadium, hence the outburst. I am not sure who owns Ibroke stadium either but then again no one is asking me to buy shares in sevco, but I would imagine that the share issue might raise a few questions (aye so it wull, shouts Jim Traynor!)The new share issue might make some darksiders or MSMers ask, What is being sold? Is Chucky selling shares in:
a) A Company (sevco) with fully owned squad of players on normal contracts
b) A Company (sevco) with partially owned squad of players on “walk away” contracts
c) A company (sevco) who owns Ibroke outright
d) A company (sevco) who rents Ibroke from others
e) A company (sevco) who have no debt (nor any accounts to disprove it)
f) A company (sevco) who are up to the ears in debt
The potential share buyers might also want to understand:
g) Who currently owns sevco?
h) Will the current sevco owners still be around after the share issue is completed?
i) What will prompt the current sevco owners to quit and get a return on their investment?
j) When will the current sevco owners get a return
k) Are the current sevco owners paid a wage
l) Are the current sevco owners paid a dividend
m) Are the current sevco owners paying any bills
n) What is the state of the current sevco accounts
Now don’t get me wrong I’m not a fancy dan consultant who knows all the questions to ask to get all the correct answers, and I can genuinely imagine that the great unwashed of govan will for the main part with their cash with no questions asked.
I cant however imagine any potential investors from a business background just handing over money to a group of unknown people, to buy a company with unknown assets or debt and without a business plan for the next 3 years

The The Rangers Charles Green is negotiating the soul of the club with SatanInc as we speak- the multinational Global brand will have SATANInc on Sevco’s shirts for the start of 2013…another fine piece of business by the Yorkshireman.

Heading to Spain for a week including a wee night in Barca if you and any of the bhoys are about we could meet up for a wee quiet one!

The decision to charge Celtic fans over the zombie banner makes Scotland unique … the only country on Earth which protects the undead … and persecutes football fans.
There’s nothing happening until we meet St.Mirren…..these stupid internationals. The age of the nation-state is over. There are only spheres of influence overseen by transanational corporations. And the spheres with most consumer power are the ones given attention by the corporations. All else is meaningless anachronistic window dressing to give us proles the illusion we are actually participants in this global money game cartel.
People are naturally tribal. Football is essentially tribal.
Nation states are economic illusions. And these national games have become stultifyingly boring and only risk injury to our best players.
Paul,
Quite a few of our other players are back on form ahead of the Camp Nou – just hope none ’em come back injured from this ‘effin international weekend. I care NOT one jot about internationals and have very divided loyalties anyway. I support CELTIC and hate bloody internationals with a passion – BORING, BORING, BORING….
Let’s just hope and pray that any of our players that are involved just come back fit and well.
Just seen Scotland were beaten by Indonesia in the homeless World Cup…we need to increase our pool of homeless players if we want to compete at that level…we need to invest at the grassroots level of homelessness…or withdraw investment maybe? Its confusing. There are no quick fixes out there…maybe the Cameron Lib- Con policies will help our long term ambitions in the Homeless World Cup?

I just think Thomson is incompetent and a typical product from the Dallas School of Sooks.
His performance in the Scottish Cup final was abysmal.
Bobby Russell,
The big Greek guy who wears number 9!
Right now he’s our Talisman and we need him to be at his very best in the Nou Camp – always good for the out ball – and Barca’s defence is not looking all that sound at the moment….
Since the blog’s gone all français : I managed to finally get, at a decent price, a film I’ve wanted for quite some time : ‘Place Vendôme’ – Catherine Deneuve at her most tragically elegant best. No one does tristesse like her.
Anyway…….
The upsurge in form!
In defence I think we are on the up and up. Efe still bedding down but looks very assured – just needs to cut out the odd wee mistake. Same applies to Kelvin Wilson – coming on leaps and bounds but still prone to the daft wee error. Emilio looking good and getting back to the form of last season. Mikael Lustig? Bloody revelation of late – cool as a cucumber and could turn out to be one of our very best signings of recent years. Very versatile and willing to play anywhere for the team.
kikinthenakas.
There are a few of us who are meeting up,I’m heading over with blantyretim, and we’re meeting up with TET & Auldheid, and one or two others,it would be great to meet up.I think it will be in Las Ramblas where we meet, but no doubt it will change by the day.
Dont actually think barca defence will have a big say in the camp nou, it will be how our
defence copes that will be crucial

Was that not the late and hilariously funny Dick Emery?
Internationals,I wouldn’t cross the road to watch Scotland even if the team was populated with 11 men with Celtic credentials however the benefit of internationals to the Celtic squad as a whole is that it gives them another opportunity to pit their skills against a superior opponent rather than judging themselves against the dross that makes up the SPL
I don’t recall too many protests when McGeady was representing the republic on a regular basis
Good afternoon CHAMPIONS
Did anyone else see the Italian Celtic supporters outside the stadium half an hour before KO yesterday? These ghuys know how to support the Tic and enjoy themselves.

Ecosse, twinned with Zombabwe.
The number of homeless will rise in the UKplc exponentially from next April as the various pieces of ConDem legislation start to bite in their fake austerity drive, as the tried and tested principles of ‘the shock doctrine’ are applied to the western sphere of economc influence, now that they have proved so effective in the S.E. Asian region and he sub-Saharan area.

Overheard discussion with a couple of Sevco fans: “We’ll see who is laughing at the end of the season.”
What about Haiti?

If you haven’t yet caught ‘ The Intouchables ‘ then it’s definitely worth seeing.
There is no Catherine Deneuve, unfortunately, but still good.
Seen her recently in ‘ Potiche ‘ Still an elegant woman despite her advancing years.

Might make a nice matinee since ole Catherine only does afternoons.

International Football and why I couldn’t give a t*ss! English father (from South Yorkshire), Scottish mother (from Dumbarton) – mother’s family have ‘previous’ in County Donegal, Ireland. Married 21 years to a Danish lassie (Sidsel). Lived 4 years in Sweden – and grew to love the country and its people. Ex-GF (Bettina) from Berlin. Spent 5 years in Germany and also grew to love the country and its people.
So, just a FEW divided loyalties for me then (international-wise). Off-set by the LOVE of MY football club (CELTIC) that I have supported since the age of 6 and have followed all over the World. I do have a favourite English team (Rotherham United) but if they ever play Celtic I know which end I’ll be in!!!!! The same applies for Sweden – favourite football club Djurgarden. However, if they ever play Celtic I KNOW which end I’ll be in!
Internationals for me are just a COMPLETE waste of time – they get in the way – they’re bloody boring – and, for me these days, anachronistic.
Our heroes these days are NOT just from the country of our birth – far from it – but from far and wide. Things have changed! Our heroes of late (talking Celtic here) have come/come from Sweden, Kenya, Israel, Greece, Japan, Germany, Holland, Honduras, Denmark, Italy, Slovakia and other countries around the globe – along with a few from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. Ya see, we’re NO LONGER bothered about these unnatural borders folks! All created by history and FALSE as hell.
Recent question posed to me! What nationality are ya? EUROPEAN!!!!!
Oldtim, sounds like a plan, am sure we will all be changing plans depending on the drink! Will get paul67 to send you my mobile number. Be good to meet withTET, our talks are usually around early hours and predominantly are about drink, red wine in particular!
Shortbread’s Paul Mitchell is one hurting Orc. The referee should have sent off the Bino’s player for going into Alexander. Then the ball could have/ should have been over the line, but it’s hard to tell. Sheiels goes down as if shot followed by that ugly coupon Aird. Then they’re lucky they missed a red card for a tackle on Black. By my count that’s 2 red cards, a disallowed goal, and maybe a couple of penalties. They wuz robbed! Oh, he at least had the sense to call an offside against Stirling wrong. So that’s all right then, although he equvocated that by saying “R****** caught a break”. Aye right.

if Ms Deneuve is ‘still elegant despite her advancing years’ then she very much fits the CSN demographic.
I imagine once she’s been for her morning patisserie she pours a fresh cup of coffee and lurks away to her hearts’ content.

Shudder to think how a brazilian fan with a celtic top would have

Just read this on News Now UK (Celtic) – NOT something I want to hear. Probably a load of bloody tripe but disturbing nevertheless! Over to you Mr Lawell!!!!!
