Endurance training for several during the break

117

Tom Rogic, through travel and exertion, is likely to be the only player away on international duty Ange Postecoglou has concerns about playing at Motherwell on Saturday.  He played 81 minutes in Australia’s loss in Japan, which was marathon territory for Tom before this season’s exertions.

Kyogo made another cameo international appearance, as did Callum McGregor, both should be in peak condition on their return to The Real Thing.  Several in the squad, including Giorgos Giakoumakis, James McCarthy and Cameron Carter-Vickers, were able to get some endurance training done during the break.  These three have not trained or played enough football this season to reach peak condition yet, maybe now?

With Jura’s hamstring apparently healed, we will be halfway to having our first choice full backs on the field.  Time for a return to form for a squad that has flattered more than delivered this season.

I didn’t put myself through the Scotland game last night, although I read the performance was back to recent expectations.  Did it make our recent abject performance on a plastic field in West Lothian seem any more palatable?  Not that performance mattered for Steve Clarke, who might ponder Napoleon’s preference for lucky generals instead of skilful ones.  Curse your opponents with the skilful but unlucky.

*he is our link to government policies, having been there himself, no different to John Reid who was hounded out by the left wingers in our support. Rather him on our Board that some used car salesman or a kid on bean counter.

    ———————————

At the time of John Reid, Scotland, and a fair amount of England, was red. That is no longer the case. Scotland is yellow and England blue. What government is Brian Wilson linked to. He detests the yellow and has no influence with the blues.

Every Celtic director, both executive and non-executive should be the very best available. Talented but selfless at the same time. Worthy custodians of our club.

  2. Fully concur with SAINT STIVS on 13TH OCTOBER 2021 1:43 PM, its farcical how they are fawning over them considering he bailed out on them with no sell on clause.

There are many in our support who have never forgiven wee Skip Tae Ma Lou or Charlie Nickerarse for leaving us even though we got decent money for them.

As for the “young paterson”, FFS gi’e it a rest, he’s no that good, oh I forgot he crossed a good ball. He cannae get a game for tav penalty,WTF.

He’s in the shop windae just like the centre half who played for the national side 5 times, his first game he scored in a 3–0 win ironically against the Faroes.

He was soon on his way tae Liverpool, Kenny doing his first love one of many favours, on a three-year deal for an initial transfer fee of £2 million, potentially rising to £5 million based on appearances. Considering he only played 2 first team games for them that never materialised. He is now playing in the MSL.

Mark my words, once paterson leaves we will never hear about him again.

I may have to just sit down and be very quiet but very angry about that.

It is the closest to genuinely heartbroken for the future of football I have been in a long time. I will keep all my thoughts till I can put them in some sort of order.
