CELTIC turned down a £25million offer for Arne Engels from Nottingham Forest in January.
But it may have only delayed the club’s £11million record signing from heading for the exit in the summer.
The Belgian international is being “closely monitored” by several clubs, including RB Leipzig, according to Sky Sports Germany.
Their report insists: “Arne Engels is still one to watch for the summer transfer window.
“A departure from Celtic is planned.”
The smooth midfield operator was signed for a Hoops’ all-time high fee from Bundesliga club Augsburg on summer deadline day in 2024.

WANTED MAN…Arne Engels gives the thumbs up as he plays a key role in Celtic’s push for a league and Cup double as a topsy-turvy campaign heads for the finishing tape.
Engels made his first appearance, alongside fellow-debutant Luke McCowan, signed on the same day from Dundee for 10million less, in a runaway 3-0 triumph over Ibrox opposition a few days later at a rocking Parkhead.
He has made 94 appearances, scoring 15 goals with 20 assists and played his part in the champions sealing their fourth successive title in the 5-0 victory over Dundee United at Tannadice on April 26 2025.
The 22-year-old playmaker also netted a crucial penalty in the Premier Sports League Cup spot-kick shoot-out win over Philippe Clement’s Ibrox outfit after the dramatic 3-3 extra-time stalemate at Hampden in mid-December the previous year.
Engels is hoping to double his honours haul with four games to go in this campaign and Martin O’Neill’s side eyeing a sensational league and Cup double.
