ERIK SET TO MOVE

ERIK SVIATCHENKO is poised to leave Celtic next month.

The champions are reported to be ready to consider offers for the 26-year-old Danish international defender as they edge closer to a deal for RB Leipzig stopper Marvin Compper.

Sviatchenko has struggled to hold down a place in the first team and the Hoops could allow the former FC Midtjylland defender leave if the price is right.

FC Copenhagen failed with a £2.7million bid for the player in the summer and Besiktas had an August loan move knocked back.

Several English Championship sides are also believed to be interested in the Dane, who was brought to the Hoops by former boss Ronny Deila for £1.5million in January 2016.

Sviatchenko hasn’t featured in the Hoops since returning from a three-month injury lay-off.
