Henke wasnt typical in that he hadn’t played as a striker for years at 26, his scoring record wasnt great before he came to us but he’d been played in a position where his natural instincts couldnt show. But he scored 38 goals in his second season for us. That scoring rate was only bettered twice in the 7 years he was at Celtic during which time he played with better players in better teams.
He did become a better player but I’m not sure his instincts improved much if at all. He did learn to be a better all round striker, positioning and timing runs gets better with experience, but not natural finishing.
I dont see anything in either of our strikers to suggest they could improve their finishing at CL level. I dont think GG is sharp enough, I dont think Kyogo is a top level natural finisher. They could go on a hot streak, and they could benefit from the experience of playing in the CL this year but I dont think either has it in them at 27 to improve enough. They managed a single goal between them in 6 games in the CL even though we were creating a boat load of chances.
Both very good Celtic strikers, though, who’d be great for everything but the highest level.

I know TILES very well. Looks out onto St Andrew Square. Been there many a time.
My local is the Sheep Heid, reputed to be the oldest pub in Scotland.
Coming back from games, supporters bus drops me and mates at West End and we grab a few pints in the Grosvenor, Shandwick Place.
If watching big games (Ibrox etc) on TV, it’s Kitty O’Shea’s, North Frederick St.
Paul’s son, Daniel is A Muay Thai boxer, although born in England, he see’s himself as Scottish/ Irish, due to his Grandfather, my Uncle Terry and his Great Grandfather Willie, born in Buncrana .
Daniel tonight had his first fight back tonight, after a serious injury.
A massive Celtic supporting family.
This clip is from the recent past. If I can find a link to tonight’s I’ll share if you don’t mind.

Philbhoy,
If you’re in touch with BMCUWP, please tell him I was asking after his Dad. Both made a great contribution to CQN for many a year.

Willdo!
Made me smile in Edinburgh at 4am this morning on hearing Celtic fans in Sydney chant — If you hate the Royal Family clap your hands.
Followed later by — Feck the Tories do do do do.
