FORMER Celtic striker Moussa Dembele was involved in a health scare after collapsing in training and requiring urgent mdical attention.

The French international striker, who joined the Hoops from Fulham in the summer of 2016 before making his £19.8million switch to Lyon two years later, alarmed team-mates when he fell to the ground.

Dembele, on loan at Atletico Madrid, was warming up and stretching before he lost consciousness.

Medical staff were swiftly alerted as the frontman lay motionless on the ground. The prone player was rolled onto his side, in what appeared to be the recovery position, as other members of the squad rushed to the ambulance to grab a stretcher.

It was more than a minute before Dembele regained consciousness and got back to his feet, according to a report in Sky Sports News. The 24-year-old forward was eventually able to walk off the pitch without any assistance.

The former Hoops fans’ favourite was pictured leaving training in his car, signalling that he is healthy and fully recovered.
