EX-CELT WANTED BY TURKISH GIANTS

FORMER Celtic keeper Fraser Forster could be heading for Turkey after being snubbed at Southampton.

The ex-Hoops fans’ favourite has dropped down to third in the pecking order at the south coast outfit, as CQN reported on Sunday.

Forster, 30, is now behind Angus Gunn, Mark Hughes’ £13.5million summer capture from Manchester City, and Alex McCarthy, who has just signed a new long-term contract.

Fenerbahce and Besiktas have both made enquiries about the one-time England international No.1.

Forster was on Burnley’s list of replacements for injured Nick Pope before Turf Moor boss Sean Dyche landed Joe Hart from Manchester City in a £4million deal.

The skyscraper shotstopper left Parkhead for Southampton in a £10million switch in August 2014.
