LIEL ABADA has been linked with a reunion at Birmingham City with his former Celtic team-mate Kyogo Furuhashi.
The winger, brought to Parkhead by Ange Postecoglou in the summer of 2021, became an instant favourite with the Hoops fans as he played a starring role in the club’s remarkable title success following a dismal trophyless season.
Abada left for MLS club Charlotte FC in an £8million deal in March 2024, but will be out of contract at the end of this year.
The exciting raider, 24, netted 29 goals in 112 games, adding 22 assists, during his time at the champions.

TWO FOR THE ROAD…double hat-trick stars Liel Abada and Kyogo Furuhashi celebrate one of the Japanese ace’s goals in the 9-0 romp against Dundee United at Tannadice in August 2022.
Abada and Kyogo once famously scored a hat-trick each in the Hoops’ runaway 9-0 success over Dundee United in August 2022.
The Israeli international has netted 12 goals in 64 appearances for his American club, but is on the verge of a move, according to a report on Sky Sports.
Birmingham boss Chris Davies, one-time assistant to Brendan Rodgers in Glasgow, is allegedly eyeing a swoop for the flamboyant flanker after the St Andrews club finished in tenth place in the Championship following the previous year’s promotion.
He already has ex-Celts Kyogo and Tomoki Iwata at the Midlands outfit and was on the brink of clinching a £3million deal for South Korean winger Yang Hyun-jun last summer before it fell through.
Now Davies could switch his attention to Abada as he regroups for the next campaign.
Former Ibrox gaffer Philippe Clement is also reportedly interested in taking the player to the English second tier at Norwich City.
