EX-CELTIC HERO FORSTER SIGNS FOR LIFE

FORMER Celtic keeper Fraser Forster has signed an agreement that is likely to keep him at Southampton for life.

The England international, who joined the Saints in a £10million deal from the Hoops in 2014, penned a five-year deal that will keep him at the club until he is 34.

Forster said: “I’m delighted. I have absolutely loved my time here so far and when the opportunity came along to extend it I didn’t think twice about it.

“It’s a fantastic club, with a really bright future and the ambition shown at the club is one where they want to move it forward, so for me, it was a no-brainer.”

Vice-chairman Les Reed said: “We are extremely pleased to have strengthened our commitment with Fraser, who has been an integral part of our team over the past three seasons.”

The ex-Parkhead fans’ favourite was the club’s solitary ever-present in the Premier League in the last campaign.
