FORMER Celtic Euro goal hero Tony Watt has joined Belgian lower league outfit OH Leuven after being released by Charlton.
The Scotland international has signed for his NINTH club at the age of 23 and will be playing in his third stint in Belgian football.
Watt, who scored the winning goal against Barcelona in an unforgettable Champions League evening at Parkhead in November, 2012, has agreed a one-year deal at the toiling club who have won just one game in six this season.
Charlton boss Karl Robinson said: “Tony Watt has moved on. It’s something he wanted. He wanted a fresh start. It’s his decision, that’s his prerogative.
“Would I have liked to keep him? That will stay internal.
“We’re starting to get rid of players who have been here for a long period of time. We’re starting to clean a lot of things out.”
Watt has played for Airdrie, Celtic, Lierse, Standard Liege, Charlton, Cardiff City, Blackburn Rovers, Hearts and now Leuven.
He won his solitary international cap last year as a late sub in the 1-0 win against the Czech Republic.
