FORMER Celtic team-mates Scott Brown and Steven Pressley are battling to sign highly-rated Hoops prospect Colby Donovan.
Brendan Rodgers is prepared to allow the 18-year-old defender to leave on loan to get game-time elsewhere and that has alerted the Ayr United and Dundee managers.
Pressley has just taken over as boss of the Dens Park outfit and is attempting to strengthen his squad. He has already held talks with his old club, according to a report in the Daily Record.

The thought of performing in the top flight is likely to appeal to Donovan, but legendary former Celtic skipper Brown is also ready to make his pitch for the youngster. He has already taken midfielder Jude Bonnar from Parkhead on a temporary switch.
The Championship side have a co-operation arrangement with the champions.
Right-back Donovan was involved in Rodgers’ pre-season squad and scored the winning goal in the 2-1 success over Cork City last month.
