EX-HOOPS KEEPER IN ENGLISH MOVE

1

FORMER Celtic keeper Leo Fasan has signed for English League One side Bury on non-contract terms.

The 23-year-old joined the Hoops as a youth signing from Italian outfit Udinese in 2010 and played in the 2-0 defeat against Inter Milan in the glorified friendly in Limerick last year before going out on loan to Port Vale.

Fasan made 10 League One appearances for the relegated club.

He kept two clean sheets while on loan with Vale, in their 1-0 win against Walsall and a 0-0 draw at Fleetwood.

The Italian slipped down the pecking order at the champions, despite Logan Bailey returning to Belgium at the end of the campaign.

Brendan Rodgers has Craig Gordon and Dorus de Vries vying for top spot with 19-year-old Conor Hazard pushing hard to get into the manager’s plans.
