EX-IBROX STAR PLANS TO HI-JACK HOOPS’ STRIKER MOVE

FORMER Ibrox midfielder Alexei Mikhailichenko is plotting to hi-jacks Celtic’s interest in Slovan Bratislava striker Andraz Sporar.

Neil Lennon, under mounting pressure to strengthen his attack with a back-up frontman for Odsonne Edouard, has already admitted an interest in the hitman.

However, as he plans to bring in at least two new faces while ideally looking for four in the January transfer window, Dynamo Kiev are ready to swoop, according to a report in the Daily Record. Mikhailichenko is now boss at Kiev and he, too, has been watching the 25-year-old attacker.

He is preparing a bid of around the £3.5million region for the 25-year-old attack-leader who has claimed 36 goals in 46 games this year.

According to the Slavakian outfit, there have already been talks with the eight-in-a-row champions.

Slovan have indicated they are looking for a fee above £5.5million which may prove to be too steep for the Ukrainian side who are trailing league leaders Shakhtar Donetsk by 14 points after 18 games in the title race.

Mikhailichenko is their boss for his second spell in charge of the club and has been promised money to spend next month.
