EYES IN THE BACK OF HEAD REF GETS  HAMPDEN WHISTLE

WILLIE COLLUM will take charge of Celtic’s Scottish Cup semi-final meeting with Sevco Rangers at Hampden a week on Sunday.

It will be the second time the whistler has been handed a confrontation between the Glasgow sides.

His first appearance was at Parkhead in September when Moussa Dembele thrashed a hat-trick past Wes Foderingham as the Hoops stormed to a 5-1 success.

Collum ordered off bewildered Ibrox centre-half Phillippe Senderos after two yellow card offences.

The match official was widely praised for his performance, but has come under fire in the past for his previous performances in high-profile games.

He once awarded a penalty to the now defunct Rangers at Parkhead while looking the other way – and he claimed that he heard the foul, while denying that he had eyes on the back of his head.

He also refereed the earlier round in the Scottish Cup when Celtic beat Albion Rovers at Airdrie.
