    Martin said the performance was not good enough and we were lucky to win. Beyond that, why torture ourselves? We got our three points against a team with good form and on a plastic pitch which is always a bit of a leveller.

     

    The huns and Hearts have a head of steam, much of it built on close wins like ours last night. Nobody is blowing anyone away. We are all grinding out results. I think (hope) Martin will get at least three experienced, match fit players that lift the squad’s morale in the coming week or two. He says the board is not blocking him in any way, he just has not taken a decision on which players he wants. He will not fail in this respect. He is too clever too fall for any board mind games or false promises.

     

    Will those signings guarantee the title? Of course not. We are in a dog fight. We will all drop points, players will get injured, player may also be sold. But we have a chance to recover and a bit of breathing space between now and Tynecastle.

    Araujo has been an important addition and has certainly helped solidify that right side.

     

     

    What we did with the RB position, should have been done up front. Our new striker should have had weeks of training and 3 or 4 games under their belt at this stage.

    MON is being totally honest.

     

    We were lucky to win.

     

    Strangly enough it was an enjoyable watch. Falkirk did everything but put the ball in the net and our escape act was one to savour.

     

     

    Well done Falkirk, but no cigar.

     

    Three points is three points and the journey continues.

    Other than as a means of complaining, what is the point of saying ” `would have`, `should have` or `could have` ?

    HS – to me, those phrases can also be used when explaining, giving context or reasoning:

     

     

    I would have liked to have seen the movie – but I got the opportunity of a shag instead (no complaint there)

     

     

    I should have left the pub, but due to a surprise lock-in a tremendous session ensued (no complaints)

     

     

    I could have stuck to the speed limit, but the 950cc sportsbike exhorted me to gie it a pure blast (none either!)

    I reckon we’ll have a pretty clear idea on the evening of Sunday, 16 February.

     

     

    (4œ weeks and 5 league games from now)

    The present is never an exact replica of the past. But many years ago I saw an outstanding Dundee United side hammer us at Tannadice as the snow fell. That was it. That league was gone. We just weren’t good enough. Fast forward a few months and Celtic snatched the title on the last day at Love Street. Anything is possible and it’s important to remember that we won last night.

    Realistic appraisal.

     

     

    We have a largely rotten team, the worst in decades. We will not win the league as it stands. It’s why I don’t want Hertz to drop points unless and until we get some better players in and/or the huns start losing.

    MO’N (Shaun & Foz)

     

    CalMac, KT & Jamesy

     

    Our support

     

     

    Against us:

     

    A pathetic, paralysed wimp of a CEO who has destroyed us this season

     

    A megalomaniac major share holder who exercises unchecked power very badly

     

    A resurgent hun

     

    A resilient Hertz

     

    A team full of shite players

     

    No centre-forward (I mean Johnny Kenny literally can’t get a game against no competition)

     

    Long-term Injuries to our best players

     

    Supporter bans and active attacks on the fans by our rich,,privileged, useless Board

     

    Brewing civil war

     

    Damage endured by the worst manager in our history

     

    Zero competence or intent in the transfer market to mitigate any of the above

     

     

    Just keeping it real. The leadership of the club has proven itself an historical disgrace. Yes Mikey, you won’t just be loathed this season, you will be loathed for time immemorial. You’ve earned it chump.

    Watching that last, even though we were not great, I felt more relaxed going into the last 15 minute knowing we were not going to screw up.

     

    This team has so much more solidity than it had a few weeks ago. Still think it is the best squad in the league and we will win the league no matter what happens this window.

     

    Don’t take me wrong, I want a striker as much as anyone. It would make it easier. KTF

    Can’t get behind that comment by PLB above. Why would you want anyone else to win the league and why would you give up in January when we are in second place.
