Fiasco at Celtic

458

Early in the summer I said that to re-sign Kelechi Ineanacho would be an admission of failure that we were unable to scout a player better than one who was unable to compete for 90 minutes last term.

Then we were told the manager wanted him, while hearing that it was difficult to recruit players to Scotland (which is true). Kelechi was invited back, presumably because those privy to inside info on our recruitment plans believed he was better than our alternatives.

Celtic had an option to retain the player for next season, allowed it to lapse, provided Kelechi’s agent with a ‘Player in demand’ opportunity and saw him sign for Turkish side Bursaspor. Meanwhile, there is not a whisper from Celtic. Genuine incredulity among the fans is unanswered, I can only assume because explaining would not make things more palatable.

We will speak more about the direction of the club before the start of the season, but there is plenty to be alarmed about.

    Context & Squad DetailsBursaspor currently competes in the TFF First League (the second tier of Turkish football) and relies primarily on local talent and carefully managed free transfers following a period of financial restructuring.While individual player contracts differ drastically, the makeup of the current roster indicates a wide salary spectrum:High-Profile Signings: For example, former Celtic and Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho signed a three-year contract reportedly worth around £47,000 per week.Mid-Level Veterans: Experienced players and core starters earn an estimated £1,000 to £6,000 per week.Youth & Domestic Players: A large portion of the squad consists of younger or squad-rotation players making basic salaries below £1,000 per week.Because the club operates under strict financial constraints, the overall wage bill relies on heavily incentivized and performance-based contracts rather than high guaranteed averages across the whole squad.

    The PLC are not custodians.

    They are the – undisputed – owners of 53,000 mind wiped slaves to the narrative.

    This narrative, that narrative, every narrative that struts its stuff onto the devices owned by the 53,000 with notifications bleeding the batteries lifespans, forcing them to constantly renew their Big Tech Spy devices.

    The blood and snotters duties of the PLC Board….

    1. Bank the receipts of 53,000 season ticket holders finance, data, addresses, bank accounts, phone numbers, National Insurance numbers, dates of birth, work address, soon to be Digital Identification, etc.

    { krankie Burnham will furiously push Digital Identification like the WEF winker that he is}

    2. Fly away to Desmond’s ‘private island’ until its time to catch your – show face – luxury flight to every Celtic game, then back to the island.

    {The stupid fans will be too busy throwing tennis balls to notice your year long, deep golden tan, anyway}

    3. Join in with the media, SFA, UEFA, Scottish Government, Police Scotland, etc when they attack Celtic supporters, don’t ever see both sides of any story, ban as many fans as the establishment wants, and keep in with the media, authorities, etc.

    4. Fly back to the island.

  8. Got to say that Duran, looked decent today

    He likes to press (especially when he loses the ball which I like) makes great runs, comes into midfield to receive a pass and has an eye for goal

    He looked fecked after 60 mins tho, so getting him fit is a priority

    Hatate had a good first 10 mins then faded

    TOBB – I was pretty shocked when I read you were 75.

    If I’m lucky enough to get there hopefully I will be thankful and more appreciative of life’s simple pleasures instead of being a bitter, angry old man.

    Not too late to change 👍

    ……………………………

    Far from bitter but able to look ar things dispassionately. You’re the one who regularly comes on here and can’t resist taking a swipe at Celtic supporters who harbour legitimate concerns regarding the direction the club is taking. I’ve been a season ticket holder for over 45 years and absolutely love the team. I was one of a few on here who had absolutely no doubts whatsoever that Celtic would win the league last season. Instead of being bitter I placed my trust in the Blessed Martin and hedged my bets by offering up prayers at critical moments in games in the run in. Both Martin and God delivered and as a result I am happy, happy, happy – not bitter. Nice try but no cigar. Spend less time hating your fellow fans and more time thinking critically about the welfare of Celtic FC.

  12. Almore,

    Croke Park is a magnificent venue with great hospitality. I was lucky enough to visit it again last year for the all football Ireland final although Kerry beat Donegal, ( Clifford brothers massive Celtic fans done McGuinness & co).

    So Celtic a few points

    – the fans have woken up 10 years too late — they are being shafted.

    – CQN and the worship of Lawwell is done ; he lined his own pockets and put in place a dud he could manipulate eg appointing his own son to blow £20M. No more the Celtic ATM for Lawwell and his family incl his other son on lavish marketing assignments signed off by the mute.

    – P67 has been exposed as a fraud creating narratives around how Celtic are well run when all the facts and evidence point to the shambles. A guy who is ridiculed by the Celtic support for rolling out the party line like Pravda back in the day. Not a west coast guy and distances himself from Celtics irish roots — for sale to the highest bidder. One for the watching.

    – Dermot is entering senile territory based on his recent Celtic biz and also exiting his Canadian biz years too late. His son Ross is actually a nice guy but not the sharpest tool in the shed. The Desmond’s are done.

    – MON seriously — time to walk and retain your allure —- please. Otherwise you will be slaughtered by the support (and quite rightly so).

    – The mute — please stay for comedy value as to how inept we have become. A complete loser from a guy who is discussions with you.

    – The fans — unite and Celtic will prosper.

    Today there was no boycott called. The fans see the guy at the top of the house, Nicholson has given up. The fans vote with their feet. Nobody supports a Coward with massive yellow streak up his back unless you are in a misty senile fog.

    The collapse of Celtic is in the hands of the fans. The Board (what a joke are done) just blow harder and they will collapse and watch the Cork man run to cover up his losses elsewhere.
