‘FIERY AND FUN AT DONS,’ ARMSTRONG

1

STUART ARMSTRONG is looking forward to a tough challenge from Aberdeen tonight – but he insisted it was one Brendan Rodgers’ side are anticipating with a relish.

The midfielder, who scored the crucial equaliser in last season’s Scottish Cup Final win over the Dons, said: “There’s always a bit of a battle when we go up there.

“There’s a physical element and the desire to win from both sides, so it’s always a highly competitive game and it can get a bit fiery, which is good fun.

“We’ve started quite well this season, with a couple of draws in there, so if they’re level with us then that says something.

“They’re clearly a good team, they have threats and aren’t afraid to come at us.

“Having said that, we’re focused and working hard, so we know we’re capable of dealing with the challenge that they will present.”
