A few moments ago Celtic confirmed Beram Kayal went through his operation yesterday and is now targeting a return to action for preseason. Irrespective of the circumstances of the incident in which he was injured, Beram’s is another in a long list of soft tissue injuries Celtic players have suffered in recent seasons, a fact which should engage minds at the club.
Rangers issued a really curious statement following the suspension of trading in their shares by the Plus Stock Exchange. Many Rangers fans have invested thousands of pounds in club shares and bonds, so one would have expected to read the obligatory suggestion from the company that investors take professional advice when addressing the withdrawal of the share disposal service. Still, at least they didn’t suggest “Rangers Football Club PLC could survive any administration event but feels it would not be the end of the world if it didn’t”. That kind of comment from those charged to look after their interests really would alarm shareholders.

i am convinced it was a stupid thing only he used, now its in common usage.

I find it strange why it ain’t on iTunes yet, it’s usually on 1hr after program.
Re phrases which are annoying I dislike when someone mentions `a near miss’ when for example two planes are close to colliding.
As far as I am concerned a near miss is a HIT.

United started the financial year owing around £6m to the bank, but the sale of the Scotland striker to Blackburn Rovers for £2.8m allowed them to erode that considerably. The recent transfer of Scott Allan to West Bromwich Albion for nearly £400,000 will provide further stability and allow some player acquisition; Michael Gardyne, the Ross County midfielder, will today have a medical after agreeing a pre-contract.
Thompson believes his tough attitude towards selling Goodwillie – when Rangers opened the bidding at under £1m – has been rewarded. “We did well [with] the Goodwillie deal,” Thompson said. “It has made a big difference to the financial stability of the club. We had a bit of a ding-dong with the bank at that time about how much they were going to take, but we reached a common sense agreement, although the vast majority of it went towards debt reduction.
