Financial Fair Play, Winding Up Orders, new CQN Magazine

868

Scottish clubs are now subject to Uefa Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations which insist club’s pay creditors in a timely manner or become subject to sanctions.  These pesky rules should prevent debts reaching a maturity of more than six months old and becoming subject of a Winding-up Order.  I am sure old Heavily Conflicted, also known as the SFA president, will have sprung into action on hearing recent news.

The Rangers yesterday issued a short statement following Channel 4’s story that Orlit Enterprise threatened a Winding-Up Order, insisting, “Rangers Football Club is capable of meeting any debts presented legitimately and we would like to stress to our supporters there is no threat to the Club whatsoever”.  They really need to stay on-message… football clubs are never threatened; it’s only the Company which can be liquidated!  Apparently.

I hear Charles Green is on an international bucket collection, Dubai and then onto Australia.  Meanwhile, it is crucial no one disturbs his important work.  When you think of the people who could have taken ownership of Ibrox last year, he has been absolutely perfect.

On other matters……..

The new edition of CQN Magazine is out and available for your consumption.  Written by and for Celtic fans, it is another Celtic joy!

I’m also delighted to report we have been seriously diss’ed by the Italians ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League game. Notes for the dressing room wall coming up soon!

sound is fine they are just talking p@sh

the rankers fan hasn’t slept and taking too much coffee -physically rattling and swaying about blaming SFA for not being sharper on Whyte being a fit and proper person

    ….eh?

  2. NatKnow - "We welcome the paper-chase..." on

Fomr tailend of previous thread – “Don’t buy Dexter Gordon”? Are yeez bonkers? Dexter playing is superb, though admitedly the treatment is nothing like art of Miles, Coltrane etc. Still, Our Man In Paris, Go etc are excellent listening! Just a litlle smoothe…!

  3. Switched off AT broadcast, it appears their downfall was everyone else’s fault.

Sevco supporter was asked what could be done differently to prevent it happening again, his response was to have clear rules on what would happen to a club that goes into liquidation, yeah that will prevent it happening again????? maybe it’s me!!!!

Oh dear, it’s all everybody else’s fault.

well that’s 30 mins I’ll never get back

    when does Countdown start?

  6. Had to laugh at the Hun on Alex Thomsons web blog, suggesting that “Someone is pulling strings behing the scenes in Scottish Football” and when pressed on this did not wish to name names, i.e. in his eyes Peter Lawwell.

    Deluded Hun!

  7. Thommo’s prog not very hard hitting or factual. No mention that there were rules to be applied for their misdemeanours, they just looked for ways not to apply them.

  8. C4 webcast. Same as always. It is everyone else’s fault but the old Rangers. And of course the unseen hand directing the football authorities. Roll on the next insolvency event.

  9. Was AT ‘s webblog all about exposing the paucity of the The Rangers case?

It could be summed up by admitting that the football authorities threw away their own rulebook in a desperate attempt to keep them in the game.

Once they did that ,chaos ensued,

Thommo missed the chance to tell Sevcovian that the problem was caused by Murray overspending chasing the impossible dream of CL

nothing to do with SFA not checking fit and proper persons …that was Murray’s role or his board …if they ever had a say

just tell it to them how it is Thommo, go on the record and say it, you at least have the gumption to raise the topic when Scottish based media are hiding or deflecting …. or have you had the wee friendly word in the ear yet?

Sevco fan says everyone knew Craig Whyte was a crook so why did the authorities not stop him taking over the club.

Why did the fans not stop him? Why did the fans laud him as their redeemer? Why did the rangers friendly media sing his praises so highly?

And why oh why oh why didn’t they learn the lesson? Why oh why, having seen the pigs ear Charles Green made of Sheff Utd, did they still believe he could be the One?

Maybe the Zombie has forgotten when Mark Daly presented proof that Whyte was a chancer the Huns called for a boycott of the BBC.

Davies and his representatives were in negotiations with Forest chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi yesterday and the npower Championship club are expected to make an announcement within the next 24 hours.
