Focus on nothing else

Hibernian thumped Livingston 4-0 last time out, one of only two games they avoided defeat since going down 6-1 at Celtic Park on 15 October.  They lost their other five games and have slipped to 7th spot in the table, albeit six teams around them, half the league, are withing two points of each other.

We won at Easter Road in January 2014, but the only two wins in our 12 subsequent visits there came when Tom Rogic took control of events last season, and Scott Brown played a similar role on Scottish Cup duty, in Neil Lennon’s first week back in charge in 2019.  Most of these games have been against nondescript Hibs sides that achieved little else.

On this field Celtic suffer.  We can afford focus on nothing else.

With VAR safely settled in to help disrupt Celtic, in time for Christmas AP will again be without a regular right back in Anthony Ralston. A star midfielder Reo likely to continue in the temporary role from which he managed two fine goals.

Defensively untested by St Johnstone it’ll be a different story verse Hibs at home who’ll be much more attack minded. James Forrest might drop back to the bench to allow a start for Haksabanovic the same maybe in Maeda for Jota with Angeball rotation.

Goal a game again Kyogo will keep Giakoumakis waiting, as Celtic hope to finish off the year nine points clear. Any three points will do, fine.

  3. I doubt we will ever see JJ in the hoops again both parties protecting their investment, in fact possibly 3 parties the buying club(s) tae.

  4. Seen a tweet saying if CCV gets booked ,he misses Sevco game, a guy replied saying he needs 2 cards before getting banned, any stato guys check it?

P.S. Ralston and Juranovic’s injuries could see an early debut bhoy at IBrokes?

  6. RimTimTim, McGowan the journalist was always mentioned as a go to for Peter Lawwell, has good Celtic credentials.

The name was responsible for one of the best moments on ‘Who do you think you are’ when Alistair McGowan, who had spent a career telling everyone he was of Scottish descent found out the name is Irish from the Sligo/Leitrim area

That’s at least something. Dallas appears to be genuine.

If Juranovic is still a Celtic player on Jan 2nd I’d fully expect him to play. It’s a high profile game that I’m sure he’d want to do well in to raise his, er, profile.

I think all of us feel that VAR will impact negatively on us over the next few games. I’m sure all of the west of Scotland members of the lodge have their instructions. We just have to put these games out of sight before it can result in a negative impact on us.
