They come and go, some kiss the badge, they all talk about how great the fans are. Of all those who played with Celtic in recent years, it was Christopher Jullien, in a private moment, who asked, “Why would anyone want to leave Celtic?” At the age of 26, he found his paradise.
We rated him not for what he said in private, but for his performances on the field. He was the most dominant central defender Celtic had since Virgil van Dijk departed four years earlier. It was his head, chest, leg, on the ball, when we were under pressure. He could then pass the ball out of defence with both feet.
Of all the glories during our second nine-in-a-row years and the Quadruple Treble, the 2019 League Cup Final holds a special place. Celtic were on the rack throughout; with an inspired keeper, Christopher holding the defensive line and scoring the winning goal, the win felt so much sweeter.
His 89th minute winner against Lazio was a perfect example of his aerial dominance. Celtic were a shambles a year later, when he collided with a post at an empty Celtic Park, but they were not yet out of touch. Had he remained fit, who knows? As it was, the shambles continued.
Chirstopher’s exclusion from action on return from injury was down to team tactics. Ange wants his central defenders wide, leaving them plenty of ground to cover, in the event of a breakaway attack. This is not Chris’ forte, it wouldn’t work.
Best of luck, Chris, don’t be a stranger.
Ignore it all you like, but the most important game of the season in Scottish football takes place tonight. It will determine the competitive balance, perhaps beyond even this season. Football in Glasgow is a zero-sum game.

PSV are abysmal
If you wanted to throw a game without making it too obvious ………
If I supported that rubbish I would be certain there was money exchanging hands for their players to lose. Zero effort apparent
Passion from PSV and their fans lacking.
I said before KO that if the Huns take this, they will deserve to.
Nothing to add, unfortunately.
PSV miss chance in 91 mins
Blasted well over. Lights out in Eindhoven
3 mins to go.
Obispo. Obispoo. We would spank this talentless shower of faint hearts.
Even the ball boys have given up
Huns will be signing Messi tomorrow.

Bodo glimt still worth watching
thull roll oot wee buuullly.
Ah well, good for the coefficient.
FT. 0-1.
Whiff from Dutch player. Sums up their night.
Hang your heads in shame PSV
Kent hauled back on break. Pity he wasn’t crippled.
PSV a very pale shadow of what they once were. Embarrassing to watch that.
Bodo and Zagreb level at 3 3 with 3 minutes of stoppage time to go.
Some amount of pish posted on here tonight.
Dutch masters my arse
Sorry 2 2
That’s the last time I’ll buy a Philips light bulb.
Well that will put an end to all the “ Huns going bust”
drivel
Bet the farm on Ajax to win that league. PSV absolutely woeful. RVN is no Ange Postecoglou. A team with zero character.
Commentator having a fit of the vapours . Plenty more of that to look forward to from the media .

Disappointed in you mate!
That’s a horrible post.
thems deserved the result, PSV made it easy for them, a dutch team full of players listening to their own hype and are full of sh*t.
Youngest klub in UCL. Who cares. Focus.
that was very painful to watch . what a poor performance from PSV . to receive one gifted goal at this level is very fortunate, being gifted 2 well
Why is the stadium in Zagreb empty ?
Very tight match decided by howler by the keeper. PSV had dodgy passing at the back a few minutes before. I’ve seen a few good teams make bigger howlers than us the pass few weeks. Forget which top English team keeper a couple of weeks ago. So, the huns might bring in a couple of quality players in the next week, I guess. Let’s just look after ourselves. Confident of beating them next week.
Really looking forward to tomorrow.
Hope the psv supporters attack their bus … Their own bus ..
One of the poorest performances ever.No heart,no fight,no tactics,no skill, you just could not make it up.Still took another almighty fek up for them.
Beelzebub on their bench.
maybe they will pay the newsagent and the pieman now with all that cash rolling in.
Interesting how the coefficient and seeding etc gets a crap team like PSV get this close
We have to be mindful that we are straight in through the same system and untried at this level for 5 years
Funny old game Saint
PSV had lost 1 of their last 27 games
Shat the bed CSC
£40 million….
fae a £49:00 ticket…
now thats clever!
dimmy logic CSC
Well must put my hand up Tiny Tim called it right,
I couldn’t see the Huns winning tonight, but they did and it’s something we will have to live with,
Celtic lose nothing except 50% of National Pot which is small beer anyway,
However, We don’t pull further ahead of them financially as I thought we would.
Life goes on , we are both in Champions League Group Stage,
It’s now a question of how both teams perform on the big stage,
