ODIN HOLM is poised to return to Celtic in just over five weeks’ time when his year-long loan ends at Los Angeles FC.
The Norwegian midfielder made only nine appearances for the MLS club after being hampered by a persistent calf problem during his time in The States.
Holm failed to convince and will be heading back to the champions when his deal officially ends on December 31.
The USA league season has just ended, but Holm’s club are still involved in the MLS Conference Cup and are due to play Vancouver in the semi-final on Sunday. It is highly unlikely the Hoops player will be involved.
Holm, who arrived at Parkhead in a reported £3million switch from Vålerenga in June 2023, struggled for game time in his battle to impress observers, which would have included Columbus Crew head coach Wilfried Nancy, the frontrunner to succeed Brendan Rodgers as permanent Hoops boss.

The 22-year-old anchorman struggled to make an impact at Parkhead managed only 16 appearances, with just three last season amounting to a total of 24 minutes on the pitch.
With the arrivals of £11million Arne Engels and £1million Luke McCowan in last summer’s deadline day plus the £3.5million permanent deal for Paulo Bernardo, the former Norway Under-20 international was deemed as surplus to requirements.
Holm has been attempting to play through the pain barrier, but just last month he insisted: “I have a strong desire to make it happen at Celtic.
“But the primary goal now is to get my body in order.”
Holm is under contract at the Hoops until June 2028 and will wonder if a change of manager may bring a change of luck.
