FORMER Celtic midfielder Stuart Gray has passed away after illness at the age of 50.
The versatile left-sided performer who could also play at full-back came through the youth ranks at Parkhead and made his debut in a 1-0 win over Aberdeen in the east end of Glasgow on May 1 1993.
Gray, son of Scotland and Leeds legend Eddie and nephew of Frank Gray, who also played at international level and at Elland Road, made 32 first-team appearances for the Hoops.
HOOPS HOPEFUL…a young Stuart Gray with great ambitions at Celtic.
His solitary goal came in a 4-1 home triumph over Raith Rovers on May 4 1996.
