Formidable CCV

176

With the season’s finish line just a few weeks away, thoughts inevitably turn to squad changes in the months ahead, in particular, who will be subject to a disruptive bid.  No matter how long he stays at Celtic, you and I will always worry about keeping hold of Cameron Carter-Vickers.  This century, only Virgil van Dijk is comparable in central defensive ability.

Cameron (27) will pick  up his fourth league winners medal and hopes to add a third Scottish Cup winners medal to add to the same tally of League Cup golds.  He is lightning quick and formidable in the challenge.  For the second time in three years, he got a big game out of the way near the end of the season, before dropping out of the squad for treatment.  His availability has to be managed.

That’s not to say he would not find a place in an ELP squad, I am sure he would, but if, as I expect, we manage to hold onto the player for another few seasons, it will be because of this fitness overhead.  Otherwise, he would be one of three top players I would be worried about this summer.

6 million is the adidas fixed annual payment for the next 10 years. with a break clause or an renewal uplift.

all other payments are based on sales performance targets and celtic football achievements. ie reaching last 8 in Europe will give x amount bonus payment.

we can trumpet how great it is but ,…… man u. 32 million a season

i find the chap who mocked the dead quite stupid but in the bevvied up hatred environment stuff happens.

that his employer deems it gross misconduct and a sackable offense well the bhoy is being mistaken to admit to anything.

he wasnt on the clock . wasnt wearing company apparel. maybe he was on a company phone or used the company van. even then what is the grounds for dismissal.

  4. As stupid as the guy was at Ibrox, is it any worse than wearing a silly uniform, taking to the streets most Saturdays and being up to your knees in fenien blood ?

Does anyone lose their job for that ?

a wee historical footnote for those with a passing interest

i stopped today at the wallace memorial in elderslie today

a wee 15 minutes reading the plaques and looking at the ruins and the pillar.

a really good refurbishment . and some historical context that wasnt there before

worth a gander if you are passing by.

  7. Never a penalty.Fantastic challenge.Even if the Milan player touched the ball first, the defender took it away from him. What chance have defenders got?.Rules are feked.

  8. !!Bada Bing!! on

They find the guy at Ibrox in hours, still waiting for the animals who firebombed PLs house a couple of years ago, an area where you would have loads of Ring doorbells,to get lifted

  9. lennie’s attacker at swinecastle BD – naw you’re grand it was just a bit of banter

  10. We need to get a CH,dominant in the box to back up CCV.Raskin,a midget, scores at Celtic Park, again on Sunday, and another saved on the line, all fro headers.Ridiculous.If he was prolific, but only against us has scored with a header. How wrong is that.Maybe Scales can pass, but all over the place when the ball goes in our box.Cannot be allowed to happen.

    So likely worth double then!!!

  12. That was a clear pen. Young Barca defender never touched the ball and goes through the inter player. Admittedly Martinez has played for it but it’s still a pen. Silly defending. If you go to ground in the box, you must get the ball first.

  13. glendalystonsils on

Inter are worth their lead but I just can’t stand the ‘dark arts’ merchants . Martinez rolling about and staying down even though he’s not hurt then Surprise! Var check and they have the softest of penalties . Looked to me that both players got a foot to the ball at the same time .

  14. Anyone looking for Anti Sectarian,or Bigoted behaviour to be aimed in the direction of Ibrox, has just emerged from a lifetime in a cave. When its escorted through our streets by the Police, given the green light by the GCC,for over100 such displays of naked Bigotry, bringingthe City to standstill, you should know its acceptable. Not only in Scotland.

    Regards the footballl,

our Board have the power to do something, but won’t.Mealy mouths.

    Well done Ayr 👏👏

I tuned in on 17 mins and tuned out on 27.

More free kicks and yellow cards than consecutive passes.

Absolutely dreadful and yet some want the league expanded to accommodate more of these teams

    Jesus wept.

i enjoyed thaat game, plenty of tim references to watch out for.

mark wilson talks much more sense than barry.

dream-team new management for the megabrow – mark and scott broon.

100% agree we need a partner for ccv, also need a dcm to stop teams walking through our midfield and to free calmac up to do his thing all over the pitch.
